I like the school but the employees' needa work school started August 25 and its now November and my child still does not have her dc one card. The school needs major help I dont want my child attending this school for another year. Seems like charcter schools are on they business my nephews had theyere DC one card before the end of September. And I dont like how that school makes the kids stay in school till 4:15 and most of the other public or charter school gets out at 3 or earlier. This doesnt make it easy for me to keep a job. Some of the teachers seem like they dont need to be working with kids some and I mean SOME are Ok but others dont know how to not show there stressed out talk to kids property. Ive heard teachers curse whole directing the kids to the class , ive seen teachers grab kids as if they were that child's parent. That school is nice and big but needa more administration

I recently joined the The Children's Guild DC Public Charter School as a social worker. The staff are a real team working together.There is a positive staff culture which I think trickles down to the students. I can tell they really care about the students and strive to connect with students in and out of their classroom. Students come to the school with a variety of challenges and the school is striving to meet their varied needs.

Best school in life these teachers and administration really care.  There done everything they needed to do to keep my son grades up.  My son has had a cancer relapse and and amputated during this time.  I am so glad that Mr. DILLARD comes up and sit by bed side and did the 10 hour surgery. I am glad Ms. Brooks call me like we cusion. Ms. Giles call me like a big sister.  This is a family school and a great one to be at. Don't be taken by names remember there is a large body and they took a day all wrote cards to my son.  I thank them so much cause this is what us parents need and want out of a school.  I don't worry when my child here and Guild you all should check out to buildings if you want open up another site.  These parents will enjoy a staff like this one.  Want know contact me.

I love this school!!!! My son go here and has been attending this school since it has open I love all the teachers and staff because they really do care for the students, my son wants to stay until his 12th grade year but unfortunately it only goes to 8th I just hope they change this because my son and I really love this school.

I would choose The Children's Guild DC Public Charter School simply because they care about the education and well-being of children. I'm incredibly impressed by this school: the quality of teaching is outstanding, and pastoral care is given equal weighting. While the academic standards are high, importance is also placed on integrity, aspiration, perseverance etc.  The school trips are both inspired and impressive.  Most importantly, all the children in attendance seem to love the school and everything about it. I couldn't think of a better school for any parent to entrust their children's education or future than The Children's Guild.
