My wife and I went to dinner with 2 other couples yesterday evening 09/01/2017. After we finished dinner we all decided to go have a drink at the Davenport Lounge. Upon arriving I noticed there were 3 vehicles parked alongside of the building and others parked up in some grass with many vehicles not in a designated parking space. There were 2 cars parked perpendicular to the spaces taking up 2 spaces each. I parked in the parking lot alongside the curb 20 yards from the front door. This was not a parking space with lines but the curb was not painted yellow or red and there weren't any NO Parking signs. As I exited my car and was walking to enter, a person at the door told me that it wasn't a parking space. I replied that there were no signs or painted curbs so I’m good. This person further told me that it was for my vehicles safety that I may want to move it so nobody would hit my vehicle. I replied that is why I have insurance. Mind you that there was plenty of room around my vehicle and I wasn't blocking or even making it difficult for anyone to navigate around my vehicle. 

My wife and I entered the bar, grabbed a table and got more chairs for the other two couples to sit with us as they arrived. The other couples arrived, and we were all trying to decide what we were going to order from their menu. An employee walked up to our table and told me I had to move my vehicle. I explained that I was not parked illegally, I’m good. She asked me to move my vehicle again so I told her to call a tow truck. At this time she knew she didn't have a leg to stand on so she told me that if I didn't move my car that they weren't going to serve me. My wife told me to give her the keys and that she would move the car but I wasn't going to have that. I asked her to get up and that we were leaving. As I was leaving I told the person that they definitely didn't need my money or my patronage and they said that they sure didn't and to have a good evening. 

As I was driving home I felt bad for the other two couples that I left there at the lounge. When I got home I sent a text message to all four of them and said I’m sorry, hope you guys got your drinks and they were okay. They replied “no, got told to get the f*** out. Ha”. At that point I picked up the phone and called them to verify what was just texted me and I was amazed. I told them that I was sorry again and invited them over to my home and much to my amazement they were already home and said we're in for the night.

There were a minimum of 7 vehicles at this bar that weren't parked in designated parking spaces or parked taking up more than one space. I truly do not understand how I was singled out. This place is so unprofessionally managed I will never go back and it’s likely the other couples won't either.

My favorite spot in Clear Lake City! Staff is awesome and the drinks are off the chain! You can order food from various restaurants in the neighborhood, and have delivered while you sip on drinks! What more can you ask for? The patio is the bomb!!!

Love this place!! Great strong drinks. If you are faint of heart, be wary. This drinks are strong!! They have great martinis and a chill lounge atmosphere.

Went in hoping for a really good experience based on the reviews but left quite disappointed. Had the worst Manhattan I've ever had, the old fashioned was ok, the bruised and bloodied was pretty good, and another martinis that was ok. Everything shaken was loaded with ice chips. The staff was super friendly and the place very clean - empty glasses were taken away quickly. Hoping maybe I just caught it on a busy/off night. Will be giving it another try (and will update).

Great place to hang out! The most spacious area is on the back patio, but this is Houston, so I usually stay inside. It can get a little cramped inside, but the booze is good, and the people are friendly.
