A great, intimate and stylish bar and lounge. Cocktails were well blended and strong, served by friendly and attentive staff. Music was good, and the atmosphere was chic and sexy. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

DO NOT BOOK A PRIVATE EVENT WITH THE DAVENPORT!  My (now) husband and I put a significant sum of money down a month in advance to reserve the back room and provide drinks to our guests after our wedding in March.  I was told I would receive a copy of our contract electronically the following business day, but should have demanded a copy of the immediately upon signing, because I never received it, despite over a half-dozen phone calls with their event manager, Andrew.  Not only that, but when we arrived at the scheduled time, the staff on duty had NO IDEA we had scheduled a private event for the evening.  We felt fortunate that the bartenders worked to accommodate us, but we should have been more wary because despite the money we paid up front to provide drinks to our guests, they were CHARGED FOR THEIR DRINKS anyway.  Not to mention that several other groups found their way to our "private" event and I had to PERSONALLY ask them to leave.  After two months of phone calls, voicemails and text messages with Andrew and every other phone number we could find, The Davenport has been incredibly unresponsive and UNABLE TO PROVIDE A RECEIPT FOR ANY TRANSACTIONS THAT OCCURRED THAT NIGHT.   In the end, we payed them twice for what we received.  Not only is this kind business model unacceptable, it is downright unethical and illegal.  We're still fighting to get our money back.  NOT something you want to deal with on your wedding night.  Go somewhere else. You will regret dealing with The Davenport.

My first visit. Nice upscale type bar with really good drinks, until the band plays. They said it was the house band with the owner singing. It felt like a small intimate jazz club until the rock music started blaring with an uncontrolled mix. The band may have been good, but all I could hear was the guitar in my face, so I moved and then it was just the bass. If they can get the music sound quality up and volumes lower, it would be a nice little place. Better if it was blues or jazz. I am a rock musician, but this place is not large enough. Maybe I will try it again in a few months.

Anthony the owner is there every time we go. He is very involved in his business and makes sure all patrons are well taken care of. He only hires the best musicians and staff to his establishment. I highly recommend this place.
