Story

Chef-owned, yard and farm to table, using lots of local sourcing to keep an emphasis on freshness. Our complex dishes turn ordinary ingredients into something extraordinary. Seasonal menu and daily specials. Our historic location is part of the adventure!

We love creating special times to share with our friends: teas, wine tastings, gourmand gatherings. We intersect literature, history and geography as story with our food. There is always something new and creative happening on our calendar.

We also love to celebrate life with our guests. We celebrate everything from baby showers to post funeral luncheons and everything in between. (weddings, baby shower's, graduation, birthdays and anniversaries...) With both our 1810 Manor House or 1830 Garden house as the backdrop, we will custom create just what is needed for your celebration.

Great food and at not a bad price either.
Their selection of beers are all bottled, so varied and limited and often changing. Their wines are almost all by the bottle, but they have a huge range to pick from and good advice on them too.
The range of desserts was amazing, and each one was a masterpiece and well worth experiencing.
High recommended to visit.

Food and service is always great.  Menu changes seasonally and is creative with many ingredients grown or produced themselves. It's a special occasion place for us, but wish we could visit more often.  It won't disappoint.

This was a very nice historical property  for a special occassion. It was my husband's birthday, so the complementary glass of (good)champagne was a very nice touch. Very warm and friendly staff and owners.  Extensive wine list and menu. My husband and I enjoyed our appetizers    Smoked Pork belly and Rabbit tart. Our meals were not as flavorful as anticipated my husband had Game Bird Duo which was very small and unable to determine what was what. I had the Mixed Grill Trio the lamb chop was delicious and cook rare as asked the other two were over cooked and dry. They make all of their desserts there, so we had to indulge. My husband had the Strawberry Rhubarb tart and I had the vanilla creme of brulee which both were good. Their coffee was wonderful.

Visited for Mother's Day brunch buffet. Food was great but they lose a star because there were not enough high chairs (only 4 in the entire place, on Mother's Day...). We had to hold our 18 month old the entire meal. Chef apologized which was very nice. We would give it another try on a less busy holiday perhaps.

Attentive wait staff. Nice wine list. Delicious entrees with good sized portions.  Although a bit pricey . Appetizers scant and over priced. Dessert delicious. Complimentary champagne because it was a special occasion. Nice touch.
