Thank goodness the staff is friendly because the prices are pretty high. I miss Food Lion they were much better prices. One other thing Weiss does not carry a number of products that Food Lion did.

I really like this place now. They went through a rough patch as far as service when they first switched over from Food Lion - but I have to say that now the service is excellent and better than before - very friendly people and I really do appreciate that. The selection overall is never going to be as vast as Giant, but for the most part it works for me - and the prices are much better than Giant. I don't go for every shopping visit, but I go quite a bit. I really appreciate the friendly staff and that's pretty much why I go. I don't love to food shop, so I appreciate that they make it a pleasant experience.

Only 2 registers open for entire store. This pattern is typical for this store. Instead of keeping a few registers open at all times, they wait until they have a long line and the finally open one up. I was told they need to have at least 3 people waiting in a line before they feel they need to open another register. I've got news for them... 3 customers with full carts makes for a pretty LONG wait! I was also told by one associate that they would love to have more registers open but are not given adequate hours by WEIS to do so. Since this would appear to be a problem that originates outside the store, I asked the store manager to give me the direct business number for the district manager so I could complain at the appropriate level and he refused to do so, instead telling me I would have to leave my name and number so he could contact me. When asked why the DM does not allow customers to have his direct contact number he was unable to explain the policy. Isn't it interesting that the store REQUIRES the home personal telephone number of their customer for a reward card (or to leave feedback on their website) but REFUSES to divulge their own business numbers at the corporate level? A bit of a double standard if you ask me. The manager did tell me that he was recently assigned to the store and was working on the problem. Point is, why do business with a store that makes you wait to hand them cash? I'd rather give my hard-earned grocery dollars to store that respects the customer more, and frankly, is more open to customer feedback.

I just do not like the supermarket. The supermarket is over crowded with items from the front door all the way to the back. There are things everywhere and it is not very organized. I feel that the supermarket is overpriced and the service there is not the best. They definitely need to spend more time training their workers and hiring better quality of individuals to work there. I avoid this Supermarket like is the plague and drive out of my way to go to the Giant where I'm able to get better service and fresher quality of food.
