Crooked. They bought my loan without my knowledge. I initially bought my car for $8995, put $3500 down, and paid the first 9 months of payments up front ($2500)--leaving my principle at about $5400. I was going to be a couple weeks late with my September payment and that was when I found out my loan had been sold. Equitable wouldn't let me come in two weeks late and basically forced me to refinance. The amount was $7000. When I asked why I was being charged $1600 more than the principle, they said it was for accrued interest over the 9 months I didn't male a payment. I argued that I made those 9 months of payments up front and that they could not charge me interest for a time when they did not even have my loan. They told me my option was to pay, refinance, or give the car back. I had no more money for a down payment or I would have walked away from the car. I refinanced. I made payments every single month. Now, 2 years later, my principle is still $7000. They are crooks. I am filing a complaint with the division of finance at the state, which is who licenses these types of businesses. I encourage others to do the same.

I was grateful that this place was willing to give me a vehicle loan when I could not get one elsewhere. I paid my payments on time until I was able to pay off my loan MONTHS early. I paid the loan off in FULL in June of 2016 I was told my title to my vehicle would be sent out mid July. After never receiving my papers in the mail I called and was told they were sent to the wrong address they made a mistake and sent to PO box 7792 instead of PO box 792 . So then I was told after it got sent back they would re-send to correct address. AGAIN months pass and I receive NOTHING I call again and am told they have not been sent back the paper work and if needed a duplicate title will be requested and sent. I wait a few weeks and still NOTHING. I have called NUMEROUS times this week and am always told they are busy and someone will give me a call back and nobody ever does. I am now writing a demand letter for my title and if necessary will take any and all legal action against them in order to just receive my title to MY truck that I paid off almost a year ago.

I am currently financing a vehicle through them and never had a problem until today. I found a vehicle for my wife and was going to finance another vehicle through them, but after waiting over an hour at the dealership with still no response from equitable both myself and the car salesman got tires of waiting so I left. Called the Boise office every two hours from 900am until 530pm and was given the runaround. They either didn't have the correct paperwork or the guy handling my paperwork is busy or I'm not first on the priority list amongst many bullshit excuses. On my 6th phone call to their office I was told I'd be contacted befor closing, and I received no such phone call. I will not be financing another vehicle through them, nor would I recommend anyone else do business with them. Very unprofessional and disrespectful

Awful customer service for auto loans, very unprofessional my personal information on why and from who the loan was bought from was disclosed to my employer and when I called to speak with a manager about it they got very defensive and told me very rudly well then I will just tell the auto sales place to buy back the loan. Very very very unprofessional. Very unhappy I might get stuck dealing with that lady for the life of this loan. If at all possible avoid this company and businesses out there avoid sending us consumers here please. I get better customer service and privacy from the teenagers working at mcdonalds. This is a very unprofessional way to do business.
