Great seafood with an awesome sunset view! It’s usually packed so come early! Their breakfast menu is amazing. Their happy hours are great to have their $1 oysters. The service is a bit slow since it’s usually busy. Overall the food is awesome and the view is worth being here!

Best Ever Scallops We ate on the Restaurant side. You can eat inside, or outside. Lots of tables with great views. I ordered the scallops, and they came on a skewer. These were absolutely the best scallops I've had in my life, and the most tender. They were a nice size too, not the small ones. I was the only one in my party who ordered them, when I gave a taste to my family, they said the same thing. Too bad I live in Florida, and can't visit here more often.

Escaping the heat of our Inland Empire home, we took the beach train to San Clemente for a few hours of sand, surf and ocean breezes. 22 years after our first time there we returned to Fishermans Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant is on the pier and is split between restaurant only on the south and oyster bar, saloon and restaurant on the north. Of course we headed for the bar. The bar is open seating and we chose a table outside overlooking the ocean, beach and surfers. The menu is impressive in it's simplicity and quality. Kim ordered the king crab legs, one pound, and I ordered the fish and chips. The food was outstanding. Our server, Whitney was very sweet and juggled several tables with great poise. Looking forward to a return trip.

Service was very slow with a less than enthusiastic waitress. Food was good outside of a cocktail sauce that came with the prong appetizer. For a $16 appetizer I would expect something beyond what tasted like a watery bloody mary mix. My biggest complaint was sitting next to 10 patio umbrellas that had been folded up right after sunset filled with bird droppings! I mean, a lot. Hard to have an appetite for a quite pricey romantic dinner during our honeymoon staring at poop!

Experience - The Fishermans Restaurant & Bar is a high quality food establishment with everyday appeal, in a coastal cultural environment. The dining experience is one of the iconic "local" stops on the Southern California Coast. My stop was with my family (2 AD, 5, 2, 5MO.) on vacation mid-week during lunch. Ambience - The waves wash across the sand directly underneath and surfers practice just off the balcony view. Definitely sit on the patio if available. Staff - The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. They are willing to make suggestions and accommodate requests. Amenities - The Fishermans Restaurant has high chairs, pier outdoor seating and can accommodate groups, individuals, families, or couples. Full Bar. Bathrooms are average cleanliness and match the design of the establishment. Value - The Fishermans Restaurant is a decent value for the food and dining experience especially at lunch. Expect to spend between $25 to $65 if you are hungry and want a drink. Panda Power Meal - Grab a Fishermans Chowder to kick things off and a Corona or glass of Fisherman's Selection, Round Hill, CA, which is very fitting. For lunch the Ahi Sandwich ordered Cajun is phenomenal or the Seafood Pomodoro in the evenings. Spend a few minutes enjoying the view while you finish your glass. My Tip=%18
