The two stars is because these guys have some really sick downhill, dirt jumping, and bmx products that you don't see at a lot of bike shops. Its also really sick to have a bike shop so close to such a rad bike park, and I'm pretty sure they donated money and tools to the park, which is awesome! The customer service though guys..... I mean you see it on some of the honest reviews while scrolling through and its true. These guys all come off as riders who care about biking, but their attitudes towards people that are not as savvy is disrespectful. Its more then just how they speak to you, its' an energy that is transmitted, and its negative. I could go on and on about what all the situations I had but that's just the end line. The only guy in there after meeting the entire crew that had a good vibe going was austin..

Love this place. Great people that are always helpful. Best selection of bikes, parts, pads & helmets and they are at great prices. I expected them to be more pricy due to the awesome selection and being in Boulder but their prices are better than other shops even in Denver. This is my first stop when I need something.

I became accustomed to bike shops on the Western slope just wanting to get everyone riding on their bikes and they did it with a smile and great customer service. I first went here last summer, as I strive to support local business when possible, for some part and was greeted with hostility and vowed not to return; however, I gave them another try this spring with needing a new tire. Went in and bought a tire ($80) and asked if they could throw it on for me...about a 5 minute thing. "Its gonna be a week until we can install that. We are backed up." Odd...I asked if I could just the air compressor to avoid a trip back home. "No, you can't use any tools." I casually compared this visit to my last one and said that this came as no surprise. Jack Dean told me that "that guy" was gone that was giving everyone a hard time and to make up for it he would put my tire one quick, but still charge me. He spent some time telling me on making sure to put the tire on the right direction (one way tire) and I was on my way. Note: He actually installed it backwards after the lecture. A few days later I returned after I had a sidewall hole with less than 15 miles on it to see about warranty. This interaction was less than desirable. "We can't do anything. It is your fault even though it was installed backwards. We can warranty it for $60 that you have to pay even though you bought it from us a few days ago but we can't exchange it. My jaw dropped at the way they handled this situation. BOTTOM LINE: I PURCHASED THE SAME TIRE FOR $30 LESS ONLINE AND CONTACTED MAXXIS WHO WAS GREAT WITH ACTUALLY WARRANTYING THE TIRE AFTER I SENT IT TO THEM AND WITH GREAT COMMUNICATION. SAME SHOP, SAME EGO WITH THE SAME NEGATIVE RESULTS AND WILL NOT RETURN.

I have had my bike serviced there a few times, and they always do a great job, and have done so in a speedy fashion. One time they even did "emergency" pre-vacation work with hardly any notice, and had me off to ride Fruita just in time! Today, Duncan swapped out a used part for free, and tonight I will get to ride. Thanks guys!

The fix has offered the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I brought in my wheels to get some tubeless tires mounted on them on a Thursday and they told me it would be no problem and quoted me $60 to have the work done. Two days go by without a word from them so i give them a call and they tell me that they had to order rim tape for the wheels and that it would be in on Tuesday and the wheels would be ready by Wednesday. Wednesday roles around and I haven't heard from them so again I call them. They tell me the rim tape still hasn't come in and that the wheels would definitely be done by Friday. 5 o'clock roles around on Friday and i still haven't heard from them so again I have to call to see whats going on. They tell me that the wheels are done and I should've gotten a call, but not once did i get a call from them. Finally i have the time to go get my wheels on Monday and they charge me nearly double what they originally quoted me. I have never had to deal with such inept and thoughtless people at a bike shop. They saw no problem with never calling me to give me an update on my wheels or let me know that there was going to be an increase in price. When i talked to them in the store about it all i got was a dear in the headlights look followed by an employee mumbling about the price of rim tape while avoiding eye contact with me. I will never return to this store and I urge others to avoid this place.
