Story

Opening March 1st, 2017! Take yourself out of the ordinary and spend a few hours in one of nature's wonders; a place where kids can run and adults can linger. This 50 acres of extraordinary color, better known as The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch®, is in bloom on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and offers a special nursery, garden, and gift shop by Armstrong Garden Centers in addition to festivals throughout the season.

The 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers at The Flower Fields cascade down the hillside in a spectacular display of color that is sure to take your breath away. New and past visitors will be stunned at our fields of color overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

LOVE coming here with my mom. She loves the place. It's always crowded-ish, so I recommend coming before the end of the season because by then mostly all the flowers are dead. They also have cute stands to shop and ice cream and other goodies to munch on.

Great place to go In the spring. Plan on taking your time. Have a lot of water with you. Some of the areas have a place to take photos deeper into the flowers. Talk to the gardeners, most have been there for many years and are happy to educate you or share a story of the events​ that are held there. This is the perfect place to stop and smell the FLOWERS. It is a little expensive, but it is very breathtaking when you see this River of color with an ocean view.

It's a nice calm experience to have with your family. There is a charge but nothing overly pricey and parking is free. If you love food get a dessert they have this strawberry short cake with ice cream that's to die for  (It's not too sweet either) from what I remember it was near the gift shop! It's something you need to experience at least once. Since it's summer, I'd also recommend going in the afternoon so that it isn't too hot. It might make it easier to find parking as well.

This is a great first date place! You are surrounded with thousands of beautiful flowers. You are able to walk through the fields of flowers or simply sit on one of the benches scattered throughout the flower fields. It's the best way just show your love one you really care by bringing her to see a ton of live flowers rather than giving her a dozen dead ones
