I had such an amazing visit at the foot and ankle center! I was so nervous about coming to see the doctor but staff instantly put me at ease. When I went into the room I only waited a few minutes and then the doctor came in and immediately started to take care of me! I've been going here for a couple years now and I've seen just about every doctor they are all fantastic! Definitely reccomend them!

My mother visited for an ingrown nail. He cut the nail and said that it would take care of it. Now it is growing back and is having the same exact problem. While there my mom asked about a pain she has been having in her heel. He recommended a splint to hold her foot in place just 30 minutes a day to stretch the tendons. She was told she would need it in both feet but for now would just get one for the foot that was bothering her the most. She asked how much it would be and the doctor responded saying it would be all covered by the insurance. She paid the copay and left. Surely enough just a few weeks later she received a bill for $200. I went to the office with her to ask what the breakdown of the bill was but the woman at the desk was new and needed to ask her superior. She seemed nice and willing to help but her superior just couldn't be bothered. I waited for probably 30min before the superior had the receptionist tell me that that was what we had to pay and it was our obligation to pay it, anything further should be directed towards the insurance company on why they didn't cover it. I am going to call the insurance company and see what they can do but it is clear to me that the supervisor doesn't care or want to help her customers and it would be ludicrous to think that my mom would get a second splint that can be found at CVS for $40 at this office where they billed the insurance $990 for it and my mother $200.

This office seems to be committing insurance fraud. I just received verbal confirmation from the billing manager Sandy Reid who stated items on my invoice were billed in error. (5/13/15@2:09pm) When I asked when they would be removed and adjusted, she stated she would have to talk to the MD. I have had this conversation with her last October, December, February, and now May 2015. I have left multiple messages with Susan at the front desk. I never receive a call back, I called multiple times today and finally was transferred to Sandy Reid. I will not go into detail however the office has billed for things I never asked about, have any issue with, and are completely irrelevant to me. They even billed me for a cast when I have never had a broken bone! I had to have my insurance company contact them as well, and Sandy Reid informed them she will remove the erroneous charges. This has yet to be done and I am still getting an invoice with all charges. Upon speaking with her today, she informed me she would not get back to me until Friday since she will be off for the rest of the day and tomorrow. I would think if a patient has a concern such as this, that she could address before she left for the day however, this seems as though it will continue to drag on due to the inability of this office to get it right. The podiatrist I saw erroneously wrote things I haven't had done in my chart. I don't typically write reviews but was so compelled to do so to hopefully save someone else this headache of dealing with the inadequate staff and multiple unnecessary calls. If you do see this doctor, please ensure someone else is with you in the room to witness what you speak about and what the podiatrist actually does. Follow-up: I made yet another call since the issue was still not resolved with my insurance. I insisted on speaking with the podiatrist since I did not get anywhere with the 2 office assistants. I finally spoke with the podiatrist himself, who apologized for the errors and for the insurance issues. After having a conversation with the podiatrist about my initial problem of joint pain of the foot, he offered to make orthotics for me, complimentary. I expressed that I truly did not want to deal with the office again however the podiatrist asked for another chance. It was a very nice gesture. He also stated he would make sure the insurance company is contacted and adjustments were made. I did indeed receive the orthotics from the podiatrist complimentary, and am still in the process of receiving paperwork from my insurance company that everything is clear for this office. The podiatrist has asked me to remove this review however I am leaving it up so that others can make an informed decision on this office. Unfortunately the experience was daunting and dragged out for many many months unnecessarily, and should have been handled correctly by the office staff from the first inquiry.
