The ice cream martinis are out of bounds delicious!!! Love that they also have vegan options! The space itself was also super cute, and our waiter was so friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!Food: 5/5
The Fountain on Locust was a recommendation from a S. Louis tour guide and it was an excellent choice! It was it within walking distance of my hotel in the arts district and had a really fun and unique menu. I enjoyed a mocktail and had the grilled cheese with the famous bird seed salad, and I asked for the pesto vinaigrette instead of the poppy seed vinaigrette It was very good! As good as it was - the grilled cheese itself was really only "grilled" on one side but it was still delicious. I didn't see my server again until the end of my meal so I really couldn't say anything about it, but I understand they were busy. I got one of their delicious sundaes to go. It was made with the most delicious black cherry ice cream, homemade fudge, whipped cream and I enjoyed every bite of it. I even got some of their hot fudge to take home with me to Colorado. It's a very cute place and it seemed like it was very busy! When I first came in I was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait, but I got lucky and was sat at a table within 5 minutes. Good place to eat in St Louis!
Only got dessert here, but it was wonderful! The amount of ice cream options takes up 2 pages on the menu, and they are certainly unique. The atmosphere was very nice, with a dimmer lighting and the booths even have curtains that make it feel isolated from other people.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere here is very fun and different. The server we had seemed somewhat aloof but she was friendly. I had a salad with chicken which was really tasty but the pesto dressing was a little overwhelming for my taste. The ice cream was good and I think going for dessert may be the best approach. I did enjoy an espresso martini which was really good. I think we would go back for drinks and/or dessert. It was definitely crowded so plan to wait if you don't have a reservation. Parking: Depending on when you arrive, you may need to pay for parking with street meters. No lot, so all is street parking.
The atmosphere is amazing! It looks great and the staff are so friendly! We had Andrew and were so impressed by his knowledge and ability to showcase each item expressively. He is a delight!! To the owner - if you have any sort of reward program for your staff, he deserves to be acknowledged!!. The service was quick and the food delicious! I highly recommend the Bees Knees and the Fig, Ham & Gouda melt with a Bird Seed salad!! Delicious!
The Fountain on Locust was a pitstop along our way from the Twin Cities down to Sewanee, Tennessee, and what a magical pitstop it ended up being! We found The Fountain on Google Maps and, seeing the art deco interior, were immediately set on it for our dinner. The atmosphere is unique, charming with more than a dash of nostalgia. Bold angles and shining surfaces abound, from the booths to the bathrooms, and the very feel of the place pulls one back to a bygone age. The food was delicious, once we decided what we wanted from all of the intriguing menu options. We went with the two different grilled cheeses, one with Mac and cheese and the other with the famous Dill Pickle soup. We also started with the Flaming Tomato Tango, a goat-cheese/tomato dip served with a delectable toasted bread. Everything was fantastic. Each bite was a journey, ending in flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience, from the hospitable greeting by host, to the kind and helpful server, through the entire meal and our exit into the cool air of the city. We would love to come back soon, and hope you will consider a visit the next time you come through the area .
What a lovely place! I went for the first time with my family and had the best experience. We arrived when it opened and were seated right away. The place is adorable, with a vintage inspired atmosphere. The waitress we had was so attentive and knowledgeable about the food choices. We had lunch, tried the "World's Smallest Ice Cream Cone" flight, and had delicious coffee. My kids loved the vintage booth that we were sitting in. I highly recommend this place for a unique experience. Come early, because it is popular and gets busy fast!
What a fun lil spot! The pickle soup was delicious! The ice cream Martinis were amazing - omg!! Great eats in a cute lil spot. Love that it's open later. The staff was so kind and friendly. I loved the mini ice cream cones too!! So cute! Definitely make a trip to try all their offerings.Food: 5/5
One of my coworkers recommended this restaurant for a business dinner and it did not disappoint! Our server was attentive without being intrusive and the food was amazing! We had a party of five and everything we had was great. I had the pesto chicken with stutz salad and it was so good! I had the Fly Me to the Moon ice cream martini and it was excellent. I really like sweet drinks so this really hit the spot for me. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some more of their ice cream martinis!
I’m so obsessed with this place. The atmosphere is adorable, service is great, and the food is outstanding. I think about their dill pickle soup at least once a week. The sodas are all delicious, and the ice cream is decadent and so so good. A must do if you’re in the area!Food: 5/5
