Cool place if you are a "new age male". They offer facials and manicure petacure, along with haircuts, beard trims, shaves and boot/shoe polish. The haircut I got wasn't great, not horrible but I specifically told her I didn't want it to high and it was a tad bit higher than what I wanted... especially since I made a point to tell her I wanted a low, low fade. Facials aren't really my thing, it was nice change of pace, not something I would do weekly. But you get 2 "free" drinks and they have a decent selection. Cool place, just not the type of place I would regularly get a haircut.

Not worth the money. I gave this place a try... 3 times in fact. It's just not worth the money. If you're going for the "express" service (which is their only real haircut & wash option), you only get 30 minutes allotted to you. As others have said, they seem to run behind quite a bit, and why would you expect anything less from 30 minute slots?? Every cut I've had (3 different stylists) felt rushed. Two out of the three came out uneven and not well done. (They of course offered to comp the next one as a result) The third and final cut came out ok, but it's still obviously an amateur job. I've been to many high end salons, paying $40, $50, or even $65 and up for a men's haircut. If you're going to charge these kinds of prices, you need to be at the top of your game, and unfortunately the Gents Place Southlake just isn't. The thing is, most men aren't that particular about their hair anyway, so if you're that kind of guy, then you'll be fine here, getting your 2 free drinks and your average haircut that anyone could do well. But if you have difficult to manage and style hair that requires a precision haircut, you're better off going somewhere like Toni & Guy, or a proper modern / hipster barber shop that really knows what they're doing and will make sure your cut is done right and not rushed.

I had been getting my haircut at any place I could find around town like Sportclips, Greatclips, etc and this experience is unlike any other. Free drink and services just for men - I'm in. Definitely would recommend checking it out.

Not the "Full-Service" they claim. You'd get better service and a better experience at a much lower price at a local salon, where they'd truly appreciate your business. Instead of providing a welcoming atmosphere, the employees are constantly complaining about something.. (Like, I care.) you overpay for drama and a coke. I asked for a shoe shine "I am a paying customer" and was denied, I asked for a coke, as I do not drink and was called a " 'lil-Bword" by the doorman; was disrespectfully given water instead. I was told to not bring in my water bottle inside the place. "It had a Price-chopper label" My stylist was late for my appointment, and rushed through the entire service. I left the place with hair all over my shirt, and face, my hair was not washed- nor styled. I still tipped as it is the right thing to do (especially during the holidays)- and was told by the receptionist "Is that all?, I mean it was a free service. It cost nothing" I was so embarrassed that I tipped $20 instead of $10. Based on my feedback to Mr. Ben Davis, he retaliates by stating the following over a phone conversation "since you didn't like the experience then I better never catch you there, and if I do I will remove you myself" - I dont believe he would do that. Don't be fooled. Do some research and support your local businesses. (I have an string of emails in which Ben Davis, is demeaning, Rude and a racist) He treated me very poorly after I provided feedback about my visit and the false advertising, and Ben Davis retaliated banned me and lied to law enforcement. I have saved every conversation- through emails, and phone. This business will not go anywhere with the way their so called "CEO- Ben Davis" treats his customers.

Comfortable atmosphere. I liked the flexibility of walk-in scheduling. Nice amenities and a great selection of specialty grooming products. My hairstylist wasn't quite as experienced as I would have liked, but they fixed the mistake without any trouble. Great customer service and convenient locations. Very clean and tight-run shop.
