This place was expansive and impressive. I would highly recommend it. The collection of paintings are amazing and this is a very friendly museum. It will require quite an bit of walking and, although it does have an army of elevators, you will still have to walk up and down some ramps. They do provide umbrellas for shade and rain protection. The grounds are incredible and gardens were in breathtaking. I would highly recommend. 5 stars.

This place is amazing! Lots of art work, starting from the middle age. They have a few buildings so you can definitely spend a whole day here. The Getty is also free so that's a perk if you are looking for something to do with a low budget. They also have a gorgeous garden, so if you want to opt out on the art (don't know why you would) you can always check that out. It is very relaxing! You can also see parts of the city from up here. Definitely a must visit if you are in LA.

It's a nice museum, and the location makes for some pretty excellent landscape photos for your into that. I only gave three stars though because the main thing about the Getty is that the museum is what you really come for, not the artwork. The collection is good, but certainly not as good as other museums. Parking can also be a pain. If you are in the area, it's a nice place to visit. I highly recommend coming at a non busy time. Otherwise, you could get stuck in some pretty long lines.

The Getty is undoubtedly one of the most underrated iconic symbols of LA. This is a must see for all tourists and locals a like. The museum is entirely free (you'll pay around $15 for parking), and the food a little more expensive than what you'd normally pay eating out. Nevertheless, FREE museum entry to see relics and amazing works of art. Amazing!

The Getty has a nice big parking lot, to which you are directed upon arrival by car. Parking is $15, but is discounted to $10 after 3pm. The museum is otherwise free to the public. You then board a little tram that takes you up the hill to the museum itself. The museum is nestled high above much of LA, so you can enjoy some really beautiful views of the surrounding area. That and the architecture of the museum were probably my favorite parts of the visit. Overall, the collection itself did not grab me personally as much as the material in LACMA for example, and I found the display of the art a bit fragmented (across multiple pavilions) and haphazard, which is a pity. The place can also get a bit overrun. Nevertheless, clearly a must-visit location in LA.
