The manager, Steve, was rude and ignorant to me!! While buying a vacuum brush, there was only 1 price on 2 different models and several different hooks. There was a clear blue model marked $7.99. We figured it was more expensive but it was the only one marked. When we got to the register, it came up $19.99. I said it was marked $7.99. He said that is the solid white one. I said, ok, I will go back and get the white one. When I went back there, I snapped a picture with my phone just to show him so he didn't think I was lying. He snapped back at me, "Well, I can't sell it to you for that price!" I calmly replied, "I didn't ask you to." I also said I just showed you so you can change it! And again he barked, "I'm not selling it to you for that price!!!!!" Now I am not happy about being spoken to in that tone when I have done NOTHING wrong!! I said, "I just told you so you can change it!" He said, WE WILL in a very condescending tone! I have a feeling it won't be changed! If anyone goes in, check it out! False advertising hoping we as the consumer won't notice!! Shameful!! Disgraceful! So happy this isn't our regular Great Escape!!

I recently purchased a new hot tub from The Great Escape in Downers Grove.  I had seen a few of their commercials on tv and I knew the family would appreciate it.  The moment that I stepped in that store I knew that I was making the correct decision.  The salesman that I dealt with was on the young side, but he seemed to know what he was talking about.  He never pressured me into anything, but the deal he was giving me seemed too good to pass up.  My new Jacuzzi hot tub was delivered in a little over a week and went without any problems.  I went in there the other day because the salesman said he would help me with the chemicals and that's exactly what he did and he made sure to tell me that if I have any questions, to just call him.  I couldn't be happier with my hot tub purchase and would recommend The Great Escape to anyone.  I may even go back to purchase a pool table soon!!!!

Went in to Great Escape to buy a hot tub. I needed the 8 year old Sundance spa I bought from them removed. I knew it was not going to be easy, it was a big spa and it was extra heavy due to it being of a foam filled type and it was water logged from a leak. The salesman said very matter of factly, "we do not remove old tubs." The salesman said because of the spa being water logged and extremely heavy that I would have to cut it up, but I should be carefull because he has heard stories about the fiberglass getting under the skin and you can die from it. I asked if Great Escape could refer someone who removes old spas, but he said they had a guy, but he no longer does it anymore. It did not seem to matter that a new hot tub sale was hinging on the removal of my old tub. I told them that I spent over $10,000 for the hot tub and redwood gazeebo, a patio set and countless visits for chemicals, filters. etc, and that they were letting a good customer walk out the door. They did not seem to care and said they would be glad to sell me a new tub once the old one was removed. Does Great Escape have so many new customers that they can afford to let good previous customers walk. 

I went to Norberts on Ogden in Lisle and bought a new tub. Removal of the old tub seemed to be a matter of routine for them. They sent a crew of guys over the day they brought the new tub and removed the old tub at no charge. 

Great Escape has lost all future business with me. I would stay away from them, they will not appreciate you later. Go to Norberts in Lisle, they are full service, friendly and knowledgable.
