Not the place to buy appliances! We purchased a washer and dryer set from the midtown Home Depot months ago. They originally delivered a damaged set-sent it back and they said they would send a new set. Home Depot midtown called us back and informed us that they didn't make the same model anymore and would send an equivalent model by a different make. They delivered and installed this new "equivalent" model. We realized after installation that this washer and dryer was a not equivalent at all and was a more expensive pair that we ended up paying more for. This pair has a ventless dryer which is a mess to use and requires double to triple the amount of drying time, is small and compact. Not what we ordered and not equivalent to a standard set. We've called dozens of times and went to the midtown store and spoke with Joseph and Mary in the appliance department in person. They both said Home Depot wouldn't take it back because it was installed (by Home Depot installers)! Not my problem. They need to do the right thing and replace the units. We ended up contacting customer service and talking to Donna ext-76981 weeks ago about this issue. I've left several messages and never got a response from back her. We've been using Home Depot for over twenty five years for our renovations and within the last six months bought three washer and dryer sets. Not messing with them anymore, just poor business.

Every phone call is a struggle. They fail over and over. I've been working with mill work for 4 months on a new front door and the front desk and mill work department is never available, they don't know how to use their phone system, they're rude, they aren't trained on how the ordering process works after they click "buy," they can't wait to transfer you away to the dark abyss of queuing on hold. They don't care if no one is at mill work - they still transfer you. I dare you to call back to tell them what just happened, and they'll transfer you right back before you finish your sentence. The guy that works in mill work is unprofessional and unfit for his job. He doesn't apply himself and it's sad and frustrating. The woman on the other hand is friendly and knows how to order doors. But she is semi-retired and works part time so she's rarely around. This location is poorly managed. Go somewhere else.

The employees at this Home Depot are incredibly lazy and a bad example of what Home Depot should be like, especially in Atlanta. I went this past weekend and found the item that I needed, which I checked before hand online, there were 75 in stock. There were 0 on the shelf so I asked an employee to look into it. Once he looked into it and found out that he would have to get it from overhead, first he asked me "are you sure you want this today? We can have it for you tomorrow." No, I don't wish to make a habit out of going to Home Depot every day. Feeling this was too much work for him, he ditched me for another employee. That employee took about 20 minutes to find out where the item was, and got the truck necessary to get the items down (this guy was great, he took a while, but he was willing to help - more than most). He still warned me it would take a while and asked if I wanted to come back. Another employee came to help him and then asked "how many do you want? The whole palette?" I told him one, and he looked at me like I was kidding. He said, "Are you sure you don't want more?" Restocking is part of the job. The items looked like they were sold out - this means they are a top seller and need to be restocked! Also, there were about 20 HD employees standing around, doing nothing, this day. I asked three employees where childproofing locks were, and none of them knew. One said "I have only been working here two months and haven't learned anything yet!" They pointed me in the general direction, which was still one aisle off. I have a lot of experience in retail, and people not knowing things doesn't bother me so much as an unwillingness to learn or help. I experienced both of these things. If you want to go to a Hardware store where people actually want to help you and know anything, go to Ace.

Really love this store! Admittedly, I could walk around home improvement stores all day, but this store makes it even easier to do so. Every time I have gone in here the employees are helpful and friendly. I often have my dog with me and they offer him treats and spend time petting him and while answering my questions. I have had people go above and beyond to help me more often than not! From searching for prices when tags are missing, to selling me a display fake Christmas tree when they ran out of stock of the one I was looking for.

I want to give 0 stars. I walked in at 6:15pm, it's now 7:45pm, and I'm leaving with nothing. Why, you ask?? Poor customer service, their lack of product knowledge, and general nonchalant attitude of employees. I've been coming since they opened, but won't be back. The man in lighting was the only helpful person in the store. Asked for the manager on my way out, she said she would help me...After I wasted an hour and a half, no thank you. May I have my time back?
