This review is specifically for their flooring department. They are really, really bad. Do not order flooring from these people. If you are lucky enough to nail down an associate, be prepared to sit around for an hour while they fumble through their computer system. Then a third party has to come and measure. Then you have to wait for an e-mail, and follow links in order to make the purchase of the flooring. Then you have to wait. And wait. Finally, another 3rd party called to schedule an install. I told them I didn't have the flooring yet. They were confused. They called the Home Depot and Home Depot said yes, we have the flooring. The 3rd party said that Home Depot would deliver shortly. They didn't. Finally I called home Depot, who acted surprised and couldn't find my flooring. They eventually found the order but noticed it did not have a delivery date. They then told me that they could not deliver it on time to satisfy they timeline of the installer. They then got hostile with me when I pointed out to them that this was their mistake. This is not a stand alone experience. The first experience with them was every bit as bad, but I had to go back this time because I needed the same flooring to finish the product. Please, save yourself the time and headache and just go somewhere else.

Over the years the big box stores have gotten a reputation for a distinct lack of service (or at least a lack of anyone to help you). I feel like this has started to change - friendly people are willing to help (though still difficult to locate sometimes). Today somebody actually when out of his way to help me. Sometimes it's the small gestures like this at really stand out.

Just needed a few supplies for work, and knew where they were and went right to them. The staff will always lead you to what you are looking for, if you don't know what aisle. Always friendly. Always busy.

Left my business brief and came back 20mins later and got no help in locating it whatsoever. Im going to lowes from now on, at least when i drop a thousand bucks there per visit they are helpful.

It's home depot, cheap prices, stuff in stock, but associates dinking with phones instead of being attentive.
