Before I moved away I used to visit The Hook often. I came back for a visit and the food is still great. The fish didn't have as much flavor as I remember, but it was still good. The hush puppies were sweet, but very good to me. The service was friendly, as it always has been. Next time I go back to visit, I'll more than likely pick up some fish from them again!

Having frequented The Hook for a few years now, I must admit that the quality of the food has decreased.  Once the new owner took over, things began to change (for the worse).  Service is shaky at best.  A couple of the waitresses are good, but most are in need of re-training.  

I was in there for lunch today, and one of the cooks even came up to the table and mouthed off as us.  Then to top it off, I was overcharged by $4.40.  This is the second time I have been overcharged at this restaurant in the recent past.  I did not bring this to their attention, as I was on my way to an appointment before I realized it.

Third, they have all this military stuff on the walls, but give no military discount.  Not that the discount is a big deal, but this is kind of hypocritical of them.  It seems like the owner is more in it for the money than anything else.

I will not be eating here anymore.

Best fish I've had in a very long time! Excellent flavor and large meaty pieces of fish. The hush puppies, pickled tomatoes, and slaw were also really good.  The service was quick and very friendly as well. A little bit off the beaten path but well worth it! We will be back!

It was just great. Parking was good, easy entry and fast to be seated. Service was fast... food was cooked perfect and was hot. Drink refills were noticed before needed. What more could you ask for on a beautiful Sunday afternoon lunch with lots of friends and family. (We just all chose the same location to have lunch).  Try it, you will like it!!!!!

Nostalgic diner feel, absolutely love this place. Many incredible memories here. The food is awesome, and inexpensive to moderate. The service is very attentive. I don't get to go as often as I'd like, so I'm writing this review to compel you to try it. High end restaurant quality if you love catfish and all the trimmings. Great family atmosphere, kid friendly! ❤
