I had heard about the so called Huntington Library and how beautiful it was, but to be to honest I never imagined I would find so many wonderful, amazing and interesting works of art, artifacts, plants, flowers, trees, paintings, books, among others.
The library as it is called it’s a museum a botanical garden and also has a research facility just for scholars.
This a great place to share with family and friends, very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. 
The best advice I can give you is to get there early because once you get there, time flies and you won’t be able to explore every section, also try to wear comfy shoes and clothing as you will have to walk quiere a lot.

There are always special events going on at the gardens as things change during the season different flowers come into bloom so it's worth going at least once a month for a couple hours.

Coming up will be the Roses and currently I believe the succulents are in bloom.

Twice a year they have a plant sale where there are rare and more exotic plants and bulbs available.

During the summer it's always a good idea to see the gardens either in the morning or in the evening before they close since it gets hot outside.

Most amazing place with beautiful gardens especially the Japanese gardens. The desert gardens are fabulous with stunning succulents! Gallery has some superb art and my second visit here. Visitors this is a must see. Some good eateries as well and seating areas with shade as well.

Absolutely gorgeous. Gigantic, with so much to see. The cafe's food is even good! Desert garden is dope and the Japanese garden is utterly captivating (with carved initial covered bamboo trees for days). Go in the spring to catch the rose garden in bloom. Also the library itself is rad, they've got these old books that are huge. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Beautiful gardens, yummy food options - make a day of it and bring all visitors. A truly special place. It can get hot in the summer. Several gardens to enjoy. They have a lovely tea they serve in the afternoon. Their rose, Australian and children's garden are magical. If you encounter someone who works there and has the time, you may be in for some fun insights. The museum on the property is a great place to go into when it's very hot as it is air conditioned and the exhibits are very interesting. They have multiple clean restrooms. If you can, wait until you go inside the gardens since the restrooms at the front tend to have lines.
