I’ve been interested in World War Two for a couple of years and it was great to visit this museum. There’s so much packed in each of the rooms. It was amazing to hold the weapons and to know somewhat how those guardians of peace felt carrying those weapons into battle. The Best part was being able to talk to a veteran who had flown missions in a B-17. It was incredible to hear what he had to say about the B-17 as a plane and his experiences. This is definitely one of the best museums I’ve ever visited. It truly is a great museum.

It's a great museum with a lot of cool artifacts that most museums don't think to get... I went in expecting to spend about an hour In it but ended up spending almost four hours! It's not the best place to bring small children considering that most of the stuff is not behind glass but if you are into history I would deffenetly recommend thus place to you!

Excellent collection of WW2 stuff! There are more than 6,000 wartime artifacts to look at. All the items are authentic, original, and real. What sets this aside from every other museum is that you are allowed to touch most of the items. Just be careful not to drop anything! A lot of the items are heavier than they look. Small arms are EVERYWHERE! You can handle them but are not allowed to work the bolt or action on any rifle. You must print out and sign a waiver to have ready when you arrive. It sates that you must pass through a metal detector when you leave and that you are interacting with vintage " weapons of war" that could expose the visitor to injury or death. I did not need the 4+ hours to look at everything like some of the reviews say. I got through it in about 2 and half hours. If you stop to read every single letter and telegram then you will need more time. The only down side is that they ask you not to take pictures when you are in the holocaust and hitler exhibits. Its about a 40 minute ride from the south shore. Leave early to avoid Boston traffic. The building is not big but every inch of it will grab your attention. its crammed with history. There is a eerie section of hitlers personal products that were recovered from his bathroom in the fuhrer bunker and other locations. You can also view blondie's dog collar and a blood spattered piece of the couch that hitler sat on when he blew his brains out. The best $25 i ever spent. Wear light clothing, its warm in there. They give you a phone where you can hear a detailed message from the museums founder on what your looking at and where it was acquired from and other trivia. Whenever you see a display with a two or three digit number, just dial it into the phone and you will have your own virtual guide.

Place is locked up like fort knox and the silver haired guy who works there is a jerk. Not a people person. Go to a real museum instead. Showed up there at 4:30 yesterday but they would let my son and me in for 20 minutes even though they didn't close until 5. I would definitely not bring children there.

Several interesting and diverse exhibits ranging from Patton's African campaign to the experience of Jewish population in Warsaw, to Nazi and allied propaganda posters, to survival kits for pilots, etc. The space is bursting with amazing documents and items. Hopefully, the expansion will come soon, this collection deserves a larger space. Overall, super impressive little museum.
