Story

The Iowa Children's Museum is a family attraction for hands-on, minds-on fun. Interactive exhibits, including Take Flight, CityWorks, ImaginAcres & the Blue Room, inspire all children to imagine, create, discover and explore through the Power of PLAY.

Admission is $9 per person ages 1-59, 60+ is $8 and children under 1 are free. Membership options are available at theicm.org/memberships.

What a wonderful way to engage children into the world of museums. My boys loved all of the interactive exhibits and activities. We had a hard time keeping up with them as they both went in two separate directions!

This is absolutely one of the best locations that not only provides a safe, fun environment for children of all ages to have fun, but the vast amount of STEM activities takes it to a whole new incredible level. My four year old never gets bored and NEVER wants to leave. My entire family lives this place and we shall continue to visit and recommend that everyone with children do so as well.

With two active small children, this is a regular place for us to play in the winter months! There's a huge variety of activities, and I feel like this will continue to be a great place for them to play as they get a little older. The family membership is so worth it for a family of 4. We've generally had great experiences with the staff, but there have been one or two visits where we can tell they've just had a long day and aren't as friendly.

Great place to hang out with children and learn stuff. We enjoyed trying to fly airplanes!! The pirate looks like he might filth something if you don't watch out;)
