I only went in to have links taken out of my watch.  The clerk berated me for buying online bc I was taking business away from local owners, however I had looked for my watch locally and only one store carried the brand, but not the style.  Then he claimed that all students were the same and took business away from local merchants by buying online, and I tactfully let him know I was not a student, so he corrected himself and said "all young people".  Then, he claimed to not be able to take any more links out of my watch, however I took it to another jeweler, only to have to pay another fee, but that jeweler happily took two more links out of my watch, so it fit properly.  I will never go back there, I would rather pay more and drive farther to go elsewhere.  Any business owner so close to a college campus should consider being nice to the clientele so that maybe he would get more business.  The negativity isn't getting them very far . . .

We loved our experience- We went to another place to try and get my ring polished, and my wife's rings resized and polished, and were shocked to hear their price. We went to Jewelry Mart, and not only did the man stay true to his quoted price he had given us over the phone previously, he polished my band for free! Everyone we encountered there was nothing less than friendly, available and professional-and the price was far and away the best we have seen in town. Why go anywhere else? We loved it!!

I can't speak to the quality of work or prices but had the worst experience ever there! Got engaged on Christmas morning and my fiance wanted to get her ring sized ASAP and the store I bought was closed on the 26th. We brought it in and the jeweler(big blond guy) and proceded to tell us what a poor quality diamond it was and the problems with it,
right in front of my fiance!!! This after we told him where I bought it(one of the stores that advertises heavily). It was so obvious he was trying to damage their reputation at our expense. He had no knowledge of what I paid. I did my research and purposely spent my money to get a colorless diamond as big as possible but sacrificed on the clarity as microscopic inclusions mean nothing to us as this is not about resale and the most important thing was for the diamond to really pop. Maybe he is the owner I don't know but if an employee of mine pulled something like that with a paying customer that would be legal grounds for immediate dismissal.

It honestly took everything I had to stay cool and not physically assault this a-hole. Fortunately the next store we went to sized the ring and the people in the store raved at how beautiful it looked. Which it does!!!!
