Cannot say how amazed I was to show up, and this place had screens, allowing me to keep up with the score of the NBA playoffs game. Besides that, the live music was great, allowing for a fun, energetic vibe. You could not be here and not appreciate the live music. The food was also good. Getting there and realizing it was in fact a bar, I did not expect the portion size of the food we ordered. Again, another pleasant surprise. We enjoyed The Joint. Fun times.
Great brunch spot. There was a jazz festival, but they have a stage for live music. The food was good and the service was fast. There's outside seating also. The drinks were very good too!Food: 5/5
First time here for my birthday. Drove in from Charlotte NC because of the good things I heard about this place. Should have saved my gas….. Got green tea shots, they tasted like pure throw up…. So once me and my friend had those, we stuck to water. Ordered chicken and waffles Friend that was with me ordered like the pancake breakfast. They were out of of a majority of the items for the pancake breakfast so my friend didn’t eat. Chicken and waffles that I ate. Waffles tasted like they were covered in dish soap. Chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. Brought it to the attention of my waiter he acted like he didn’t care. No apologies etc. service hella mid. Which was surprising to me considering folks were raving about this place. Maybe it was a bad day food wise but it will be a while before I come back to visit simply based on the service. DJ was good though. Really enjoyed the music vibes he provided.
It was my sister's 60th birthday. We decided to go to the joint because she loves to dance. We had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious as well, but the staff took so long getting the food. I enjoyed the drink as well. Me and my girlfriend again really enjoyed ourselves. It is a very nice place to go to.
I have been there several times for salsa and Jazz nights great live music.Food: 5/5
The Joint is a great place to go for Live Jazz entertainment! There is no cover charge to enter. The musicians were fabulous!!! The menu included Goat Cheese Ball w/pita bread, Quesadillas cheese, chicken or shrimp, and other light food fare. The food was good! Alcoholic beverages are also sold here even specialty mixes like "Bees Knees", "Absolut" with berries and many others. The Joint is my new joint and a pleasant little surprise conveniently located downtown Columbia at 1710 Main Street. Doors open at 5pm.
The Joint is the joint for a good evening of LIVE entertainment, good food, good wine, good friends, and great stress reliever! Quiet Intimacy are two words that come to mind because of the low lit dark room that immediately envelops your senses while the LIVE entertainment sets the mood. The Joint has a look and feel like a "days gone by" juke joint. It is a perfect first/blind date meet or for many times. There is no cover charge to enter so the minimalist food/wine menu is what is expected of the price. Enjoyable evening! Vegetarian options: Can order Cheese Quesadillas.
My friends and I had a blast at the Joint Karaoke on a Wednesday night. We decided to try karaoke on a whim and it turned out to be the highlight of our evening. The supportive atmosphere made singing, laughing, and joking even more enjoyable. While the drinks were decent, my mocktail was particularly delicious. If you're looking for a fun night out with great vibes, the Joint Karaoke is a must-visit. The karaoke experience is definitely the main attraction here!
The food is amazing. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is savory and crispy and the vanilla waffles are nice and fluffy. There was a jazz band playing when I went and the music was great and it made our brunch super fun! *side note the chicken and waffles are not currently served like this. They are served on a platter. This a slightly older picture from last year when you could order the chicken and waffles separately on their old menu*
I loved the joint I would definitely be going back, loved the music and the atmosphere it was a bit loud for brunch but the dj and music was on point. Our food took a little while to come out but we were not disappointed once we got it.Food: 5/5
