We hadn't been there in years. My husband and I went for a ride on my birthday, and ended up in Evergreen. It was a beautiful day. We started out at little bear and had drinks. Had a wonderful waitress but unfortunately I don't remember her name. There was live music which was great too. It was nice to visit a place we hadn't been to in years, and again the waitress was fabulous!!
This place has been an Evergreen classic for decades. One of the most unique bars you'll go to. Walls and booths are covered with dollar bills, memorabilia, and other random items that make for a cool experience. Usually there is live music.
Don't get me wrong... I love The Little Bear Saloon. But I did not love the experience this last Saturday night to see The Railbenders. First of all, when I pay to see a band, I expect to be able to see the band. We arrived an hour early, and there were only a couple of "seats" left. I use the term seats loosely. They were a couple of benches, not really made for sitting... very uncomfortable, in the far back of the upstairs. Even if we could have seen the stage from there, there were so many people who were standing in the aisle, there was no way to see the band. I can only wonder what the fire department would think about the number of people blocking the access. It really seemed like tickets were oversold, because it was obvious there were more people there than the place could handle. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had in a long time. And frankly, the band, although obviously loved by the crowd, didn’t seem better than bands like Mountain Magic. So we left early. Doubtful we will ever buy tickets for another band. But we will be back to see Mountain Magic!!
Hands down the best place to go in Evergreen! It's been there forever, and it will most likely be there forever. Go check it out and you'll know exactly what I mean. Thank you Little Bear! Keep on rocking! Rustic and amazing! I'll see you thereFood: 5/5
Atmosphere is bike bar nostalgia, as all the dollar bill tacked to the wall and ceiling show. The waitress was great and very attentive. Blood Mary was good and the patty melt I had was delicious.Food: 5/5
Iconic bar and certainly a people watching place. We always have a good time when we go to check out a local band playing.
Typical old school dive bar - old license plates on the wall with dollar bills everywhere. Plastic silverware and cups with packet condiments. We had a burger and patty melt - and it was ok...they just opened yesterday so they were out of a lot of things but that will improve. It was nice to hear live music again as well.
This is one of the front range hidden gems. It has a rustic charm, food, and a descent beer selection. What I enjoy most is live music in the afternoons on weekends.
Stopped in for lunch and we were never greeted or served. We walked in and were standing there waiting to find out if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. Two servers made eye contact but never said a word. A couple came in behind us and went to a table without hesitation. So, we took the cue from them and sat as well. As we were waiting, we couldn’t help but notice the griminess of the restaurant. Sticky floors, dirty tables, and pictures that haven’t been dusted in quite some time. Definitely going for the “dive bar” look and achieving DIRTY dive bar status. We sat there for a full 10 minutes and were never greeted. The two servers made several trips by our table and never once spoke to us. A simple, “we will be with you when we can,” would have made all the difference. But to be completely invisible for 10 minutes was all we needed to decide Little Bear was not the place for us.
Fun place! Food and staff are wonderful! I got the melt, but my husband got the Buffalo burger and would not quit talking about how good it was! My dish, as well, was devoured. Was a little disappointed there wasn't more onions on my melt, the description made it sound like there was a lot of onions piled on it which I LOVE, but for those who don't like many onions it would have been perfect for them! : Fun stop, would definitely stop again if I'm in town!
