Take 15 minutes and walk through. There's a lot of history in Alexandria, though most is fairly unremarkable.

A gem of Old Town history.  From Poe to Barnum's Mermaid, so much happened here.  Search the museum to discover some of the highlights of Alexandria's history. But, sadly it doesn't even contain half of the cool, quirky stories; be sure to hear some of the stories from the staff who are happy to share some of their favorite events discovered in the archives.  Make sure to ask about Barnum's mermaid - half chimp/half fish, it was displayed here long enough to confuse a few journalists regarding it authenticity!  If you are lucky, check out Poe's performance during Halloween!
