I took my grandmother to this museum as she has always wanted to go visit. I went expecting that this museum would be something that only my grandmother would like and my brother and I would just have to "suffer through" for her sake. I was pleasantly surprised that that wasn't the case. The quilts inside the museum were not like any quilts that I've ever seen before. They were more like works of art. The different styles, colors, and sizes were amazing. The kind of care and love that were put into each quilt by their artist clearly shows. I am not a quilter or "quilt person" but I really enjoyed this museum! I would recommend this museum for quilters and non-quilters alike. It's definitely something to see if you are in the area. (I know there wasn't any photography or videos allowed in the museum but I couldn't help but snapping off a few shots. I have included them with my review. I hope the artists can understand that I only took the pictures to highlight their works and attract more visitors to the museum.)

My husband and I both enjoyed the guided tour, which helped us understand and appreciate more about the items exhibited, including the wooden quilt, tiny quilts, and the collection of quilts created by two or more people. Overall, it is clear that these quilts are not bedding, and are less "craft" than Art. Well worth the cost of admission and time spent. We especially appreciated the friendly and knowledge tour guide AND the ability to get up close to examine (but not touch!) these beautiful pieces of art! We'll be stopping in again when we're in the area, to see what's on display, as the exhibits are changed periodically. Highly recommend.

Make no mistake, this an Art museum. You do not need any particular knowledge of quilting to appreciate the artistry and craft that went into making these quilts. The collection on display rotates regularly, so you can visit more than once and still see works you haven't seen before. Once inside, there are regular guided tours, or you can browse at your own pace. Plan on spending several hours for an appreciative viewing, and more if you are a dedicated quilter.

Really enjoyed the quilts and gift shop as well as the stories with the quilts. Not impressed with the art works area even though the artists seemed to put a lot of time into their creations. But that is just personal preference. Some may enjoy that part. Prices a bit high. Overall a good experience. Glad I went.
