They have such a cool atmosphere. It feels like a very authentic pub. There is an upstairs as well and the whole place has a very relaxed and chill cozy feel. They have great food and the most memorable part was when we got the giant tea cup full of cider. It even had some dry ice in it so that it looked like it was steaming.

I cannot say it enough; no other pubs, bars, or taverns in the area come close. The Olde English Pub looks inviting on the outside, a complex of thick trees and a pleasant old house and telephone booth. The establishment boasts two floors of cozy seating, plus an outside bar and dining area. This pub doubles as both a restaurant and a traditional bar, all the while playing the role of local community center in the warehouse district of Albany. Expect extremely amicable staff who tirelessly keep a pleasantly aged establishment clean, reputable and light. Many of the drinks come from local distributors, and the food, while not cheap, is well worth it.

The outdoor area was wonderful, but our group felt completely unwelcome. We went into the back courtyard because it was busy out front and we had a fairly large group and as soon as we did we were told the back closed in an hour and just to be aware. That’s fine, but then we were asked to move to the front with us an hour later only us and another couple were asked to move. We had a dog with us, and I’m glad it’s dog friendly, but if there were no tables in the front then we wouldn’t have been able to finish our drinks.

Great place, loads of charm and character. The Chicken Jerk was amazing. The fries look like normal fries until you try one. Outstanding. Local and UK drinks, such a fun place. Definately check it out.

Very good. Cool pub atmosphere with big delicious portions. The dipping fries were definitely a hit with us! Will be back.
