Cool place to drink some wine. The owner is really friendly. He chatted me up with some very entertaining conversation. Very fun and funny guy. He uses local wine. It's hard to rate wine because it really depends on your taste buds, but I enjoyed the selection for that day.

Great idea to offer wine and olive pairings!  The olives mainly differed in their stuffings, but the sun dried tomato stuffed olives were awesome!

WARNING!!! Do not waste your time or your money on this establishment. The service was horrible and they will overcharge you if you don't catch it. When we walked in we we're not greeted. Just stared at. I said hello and proceeded to explain that we had a two for one tasting card given to us by our hotel and he still charged us the full price. He was not interested in telling us anything about the wines nor were we asked if we'd be interested in trying anything else. He insulted me because I preferred sweet wines, rudely stated that drinking sweet wine is a waste. He was ill mannered, his tone foul and only interested in talking to his friends sitting at the counter. He made very derogatory comments, insulting me again by trying to make a joke that I was with my boyfriend for money. He was promptly corrected that I'm very capable to take care of myself fully and on my own with no outside help. I don't think he like that from the look on his face to which I could care less. The tasting could not end quickly enough for us. My first time, one week stay in Solvang was amazing except for the time spent at The Olive House.

Really enjoyed the olive and wine pairing. Staff is great.

This place was highly recommended by a winery for their olive and wine pairings we were excited to try.. but when we walked in we were ignored while the tasting attendant was having an intense conversation/meeting at the bar. We felt so uncomfortable after waiting and browsing the shop hoping to be welcomed and offered a tasting that we just left.. hopefully it was a productive meeting for her.
