Story

The Packing House was founded by the Wiken family in 1974 and is still owned and operated by them today! The extensive menu has something for everyone's tastes whether you join us for lunch, dinner, or our famous Friday Fish Fry. Friday Fish Fry is available dine in or through our convenient drive-thru window! The specialties include Ribs, Steaks, Seafood, Poultry and Veal! We feature daily specials for lunch and dinner. Prime Rib is also available Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. We feature live music in our lounge Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from top local pop, jazz and lounge performers. Banquet facilities available for your meeting or special occasion as well.

Hi - we love the food, atmosphere & good service at your restaurant. We have  been dining there for years, enjoying lunches, dinners & celebrating special occasions. I recently had hip  surgery & I am using a walker now while I continue recovering. We parked in the parking lot & I found it to be VERY DANGEROUS for anyone using a walker or crutches. It is in serious need of resurfacing. The blacktop was broken & uneven everywhere. It was very difficult to enter the restaurant. We noticed some beautiful stamped concrete at the main entrance doors. It was very pretty, but not handicapped friendly if you are using  a walker or crutches - - stamped concrete is very slippery when it gets wet.  It is unfortunate, as we age that sometimes we may need a hip  or knee replacement. No one wants to fall as they recover. Please take this advice seriously. Thank you

Wow! Had some time to kill before a flight back home, and we decided to stop at this place for dinner. What a great choice! It did not really look special from the outside, put it was quite a pleasant experience. Very classy ambiance (think white tablecloths, friendly staff, lovely music) and the food was excellent. Large menu-I would recommend the steak.

We've eaten here for years, it has the best prime rib in town, but plan ahead, prime rib is available only Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. It's also the only place in Milwaukee that has Beef Wellington on the menu every day of the week, and that is also excellent. In fact,  everything on the menu that I've tried is excellent with the weird exception of the Friday fish fry. People line up out the driveway and down the street to get fish at their drive thru, but I don't think the fish is all that special.

The place has been around for over 30 years. Great piano bar. Pricey food but worth it if you order the right thing. Steaks & Seafood, wonderful. Great buffet $$. The evening my husband & I were there Robert Downy Jr was there playing the piano. It is located across from Mitchell airport. So you never know who you may see there.

I took my family for dinner at the Packing house on a Saturday evening and it was one of the best family gatherings we have had in years.  The atmosphere is classy and comfortable.  The service was personal and attentive.  We new the food would be good because we had read other reviews but it was not just good it was "Great".  I don't know how we missed this gem of a restaurant but we will be regulars now.  Thanks for making our experience such a good one.  Kathryn.
