I visited the Penrose about 30 times in the last 2 years, and I can say for sure that I enjoyed myself every single time. The food is delicious (mac n cheese, cheese plate, fries), decent beer selection, and every single server is super nice and friendly. I usually come on Saturday night and it's full, in a good way. Whether you are at the front standing or seating at the back, you will enjoy this place.

Sunday brunch at the Penrose - Went around 2:00pm and had no wait to sit down. The restaurant was quite loud as we sat in the back room but really enjoyed the natural light as there were plenty of skylights. Got a cocktail and the bacon, egg, cheese & avocado sandwich. It seemed a bit small but had really good taste and the bun they used was very good. Really enjoyed and would like to bring a larger group here next time.

Super loud to the point that I was screaming to my friend and couldn't hear *myself*. Never had that happen to me before except at concerts while crowd surfing. Here there was the same crowd fighting as a concert would have been, except it was to get a drink. High end whiskey? Try gimmick whiskey. Cool crowd though, although I'm just guessing by their appearance (I couldn't hear enough to talk to anyone.) Would try again at like 2pm maybe beat the crowd...

Stopped by here to grab drink while my friends and I were waiting for a table at a sushi place near by. Cool vibe. Great cocktails. All my friends enjoyed there drinks.

Me and my friend came for the singles scene, which can accommodate us, maybe because we both come from sound backgrounds. Also compliments to the staff for making a wonderful Aviation. As for food, we took off after munching on the greasy calamari.
