Service was mixed but pretty good. Food was like that too. Needs some refinement. But GREAT potential.

If some of the food didn't taste as good as it did, this would have been a one star. It was 45 minutes after we sat down that wet finally got our food. The place was mostly empty. We all ram it if water and actually lined the empties up on the table. The manager walked by three times and the hostess and waitress went by at least 4 times before they offered a refill. By this time we were done eating. The steak and onion flatbread and blue ribbon burger for rave reviews. The Hawaiian flatbread had to be checked to make sure there was actually meat on it. The halibut and chips were under cooked. The breading was raw on the inside. It even took them about 20 minutes to get the fruit bowl for the baby and we asked for it to come out first.

The service and the food are awesome! Our waitress Sierra was very attentive. The chef does an amazing job infusing many flavors, making our visit an memorable one.

The porch...where do I begin. I can understand that this place may give the opportunity to employ some of the local students and community but it doesn't excuse the lack of service expected by its customes. I've tried this place on two separate occasions and have not seen any substantial differences or improvements. When you have been waiting for food to be served for over an hour of waiting after ordering,  is unsatisfactory. And this observation is when there is not such a large crowd in the dining area too constitute such a long wait. 
After receiving our order, the following is what we got; food that was cold due to whatever delays from the kitchen, fries were burnt and we dared not to have them redone for fear it would take another hour to get them corrected.
The order was screwed up, did not get all the items that was ordered (i.e. burger did not have bacon that supposed to be included.)
Food was totally tasteless, can't say that it was even close to what the ingredients were suppose to taste like.
Had the soup of the day and was expecting something that was homemade signature of the restaurant but received, and I'm not exaggerating, a generic Cambells chunky soup from a can. The food is insanely overpriced (a grilled cheese sandwich for $10 that was total garbage), burgers that rate lower than McDonald's kids meal burgers on a bad day. Tasteless, cold and unappetizing. 
I can compensate for ineptitude for only so much. Sure, we went there on the eve of graduation and had a reservation with the number of people in our party, but the place was not so busy that all that was said hampered them in the least. The place was NOT slammed full of customers to warrant that many errors.
And to top this off, the service, so freaking sad. Observed the wait staff more concerned about checking their Facebook, general goofing off, taking group pictures of themselves, and not checking there's stations in a timely basis. And the big slap in the face is when they include a gratuity in your bill when it's not deserved. 
To say the least, this place is not recommended to spend your hard earned money on until they have a come to Jesus meeting and fix what's broken.

We had dinner there on Saturday evening, the meal was excellent, I had a steak with garlic mashed potatoes and brocollini, it rivaled the Met in Seattle, we both had the cucumber Mohito, what a wonderfully mixed drink and the Creme Brulee(with a surprise blueberry in it) was the best I have had in a long time.  If you go to Ellensberg and want to have excellent food and a great wait staff this is the place to gl.
