Story

We are a very different type of place. One like no other around. We are a place to not only have a delicious meal but a great spot to meet up with friends and everyone can feel comfortable and welcome. We offer organic and locally grown foods whenever it is possible to do so. Our meats are all natural without hormones or antibiotics. We like to keep it fresh so all of our foods are made to order. So relax, sit back and take your time here (you can always call ahead and we will have it ready if you're in a rush). We are very proud of what we do and work very hard to bring you the best of the best. We feel everyone deserves to have delicious, wholesome food and we strive to make your experience with us the best possible.

Chose to eat here based on the good reviews. The food was great. Wish the menu made clear whether or not there were non-vegan alternatives to many delicious-seeming menu options. The food here deserves more stars than this review allows, but the service we obtained left a lot to be desired. We cut our visit short as a result of how difficult we found it to receive service once seated, and found ourselves having to take initiative after waiting too long to be looked at, let alone addressed by wait staff. In all fairness, however, I will say we were seated by a larger party, all of whom expressed how much they had enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend the food here! Everything we ordered was delicious, and everything we saw others eating looked amazing too!

I am new at being a Vegan and trying out different spots to see the variety that's out there, so when me and my family had a chance we went to Purple Elephant and let me tell you the Vegan food at this place was not only bad but it was horrible!!! Not only were they expensive it was awful. I asked the waiter if there was Vegan nuggets for my kids and he said yeah and he came out with a couple of slices of meat that was the worst thing I've ever tasted. Usually if I go to a bad restaurant there would at least 1 or 2 items which I enjoyed but no EVERYTHING was awful! I never write reviews even if the food was great but this restaurant, I just couldn't resist because of the horrible meal we had. I told the waiter the kids couldn't eat it and the waiter shrugged it off and still didn't have the decency of providing a solution or not charging me at all. Never again!!!!

Couldn't be happier that my wife and I have finally found such a healthy option that we can't get enough of. Since moving in a few weeks ago, we've become frequent visitors and love every menu choice we've tried out. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, delicious, and healthy options for lunch/dinner.

Went there with my GF and my other friend and it is a good spot. If your Vegan, this is the place for you to come. I'm only giving this a Three star because the Host came to us asking if our food was good because he gave a very low tip, when in actuality, we really didn't pay attention too much with the bill. Even though it was taken care of quick, the fact that they has a discussion thinking that we gave a low tip was disrespectful, when it was a mistake on our end. I'm good on every going back for some time.

Eating at The Purple Elephant was a disappointing experience. My friend and I had made a reservation, and were greeted rudely and told we had to wait for our table. We had no issue waiting, but we were a little turned off by the attitude. The menu is very over-priced for what you get. The portions are decent, but the flavors are not up to par when compared to the price scale. I ordered the Coconut Curry with Vegan Chicken strips. The mock chicken strips were a very odd texture. They were soggy and tasteless to the point in which I couldn't even eat them. My friend and I ordered desert, and 5 minutes later the power went out on the entire street. The manager or the owner (whoever it was) that was present never acknowledged that her room full of guests were sitting in the dark. They lit some candles, but nobody ever said anything. The atmosphere is very intimate, and small. We couldn't even leave because the credit card machines were down. Our waiter came over and asked us for cash. We told him we didn't have any cash, only cards and he told us we would have to wait until they figured something out. We waited for 30 minutes only to have them take record of our credit card numbers to run the next morning. It was very uncomfortable and handled very unprofessional. The manager never offered to comp us a drink or an appetizer, or even apologize to us when we walked out. I understand the power outage wasn't the restaurants fault, but a simple act of acknowledging the situation would have been nice. The manager literally sat idle behind the bar while the wait staff took down our credit card numbers. Really classless for a place that tries to bring in a higher end clientele. I won't be returning to this place again.
