Such a laid-back, restful place and it's right on Ventura Boulevard. It's like getting out of town for a while to enjoy a great bottle of wine. Music is great; the house music, perfect vibe. And the live guitarists too.

I highly recommend this nice little beer and wine bar in the Richmond. As you know, the Richmond is good for dive bars, and I've been looking for something like High Treason for a while. Very good selection of wines and some interesting beers on tap. I got a sour and a saison, both of which were good. The server knew everything about the menu and offered tastes if we wanted. The bread and butter was outstanding. Not sure where they get it, but it hit the spot. Glad to have a fun place like this in the neighborhood! Oh, and the music is good. They play a nice selection of vinyl.

I guess the food was okay, but the baguette and sandwich bread was not edible. All the food needed salt and salad needed lemon. The pasta was fine - nothing exceptional. My friend wanted to try it. I won't be back. Too many other good places around he same area.

It's great for girls night out or dates since it's quiet, dimly lit and secluded. Although on the night I went here (Friday), there was a musician playing random melodies. The bar owner was really nice, he recommended different wines and let us try different varities of wines. The food is okay and service was pretty quick but then again, there wasn't that many customers at the time. Prices were okay too not too expensive
