A local institution, food is very consistent.  This place is called "the Ribeye" for a reason.  They have very few menu options.  The main one being Ribeye, you have a choice of how many ounces you want.  The salad bar is well done with many options and fresh ingredients.  The manager, Buck, is a local icon, always friendly and helpful.  Good wines by the glass as well as great reserve wines.  As I said before, there aren't a lot of options in the menu, but they are all done consistently well.  The is a real old school steak place.

We recently had dinner at The Ribeye and can't wait to go back again next time we are in town.  The salad bar was a wonderful meal in itself so you have to make sure you save room for your main course, the delicious ribeye.  Also, you won't want to miss out on the rest......the bread and the french fries.  Add to all that, the nice atmosphere, good service and very reasonable prices-------why would you go anywhere else?

We were told the wait was going to be 30-40 minutes but we ended up waiting 70. Secondly, my cocktail was not at the table until it was nearly time for the main course to come out. When I asked the waitress where it was she almost acted like we didn’t order one. Also when we ordered food, nobody told us the food would be on a hot skillet with no potholder. I was blamed for getting burnt on the skillet while trying to cut the meat. All the waitress could say was “the menu says everything is on a skillet and you have to ask for a plate if you’d rather have that.” No apologies were made. We were never asked if we had been to the restaurant before. It was my first time so we had no idea about the skillet that over cooks the meat. 

Overall it was a horrible experience. I did like the salad bar though.

Foodies fairly new to the area...we fell in love with this place! The salad bar is always fresh, with great options! I enjoy the shrimp or steak from the menu, and sometimes opt for the salad bar only. The staff & customer service here round out the great experience...glad to call this one of our favorite cozy-restaurants in town

One the most over-rated restaurants in the area. My family came down from Chicago and I wanted to take them to a "highly recommended" restaurant. The only thing above average was the salad bar but with people cutting ahead of you with the excuse of "I'm only getting one thing"even that was not a pleasant experience. The steaks were almost tasteless the potatoes cold. All 4 of us vowed we would never return.  When asked if we enjoyed the meal I started to explain that we were disappointed. Our waitpersons reply: That's too bad!!!  Never again.
