I wasn't going to post a public review, but... I sent them an email letting them know how dissatisfied I was and they basically told me my complaint was unfounded and that NYE is busy, so I should have been prepared for long waits. No, THEY should have been prepared. Tickets were sold months in advance!! How did they think one measly buffet and 2 bartenders per bar would be sufficient? Very disappointed!! I very rarely exercise my "right" as the customer to "always be right." So when I complained, I expected an explanation and an apology and maybe a drink voucher or something. Instead, they dismissed my complaint entirely. 😡

I would like to offer my thoughts and I hope it's taken in the spirit that it's intended, as honest, constructive feedback. My first point is the decor. From all I've seen, the owner considers this to be a leading feature of the place. For me, it was underwhelming. I know, it's authentic this and whatever. I'm not the first person to say this so it might be worth having a fresh pair of eyes take a look. The bathroom was kind of like what I expect from a gas station. The second was the service. In fine dining, the wait time is understood. This isn't fine dining. The service was slow and the staff indifferent. We had a long wait to place an order, a long wait to be checked on for drinks then a long wait to hear the status of our food. Which brings me to my third point, the quality. I realize that they are serving bar food and, even grading on that curve, this was below average. It was bland and not worth the near hour to be served. Lastly, this is just a personal note: I've worked in the restaurant industry for nearly 20 years. Criticism is hard to take and there are some people who aren't cut out to deal with negative feedback. Maybe take a step back and have someone else cover the social media for awhile. Coming across as argumentative or defensive, it will bite you in the rear. Every place will get some unflattering comments. Look at how some of the more successful places respond to that. Learn from them. You have a unique business and I wish you all the success.

From start to finish I had a truly great experience. I am not going to say everything was perfect, the food took a little longer than I expected but when it arrived it was AWESOME! The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and noticeably put a lot of effort into everyone's experience. Had a great time starting on first floor and ending on second floor. Definitely would recommend. Oh call an UBER drinks are STRONG!

New years was a disaster. No organzation. crazy lines. Bartenders who didn't know what was going on. And the worst was a buffet theta was totally out off food after a 45 minute wait. This place is an awesome building with the WORST MANAGEMENT I've seen. I've been to plenty of NYE events that are packed but this was more than that. It was just plain poorly run and management didn't seems to care at all. Never going again. Avoid.

We first tried The Roaring 20s on New Years Eve, paying over $100 per ticket for unlimited buffet food and unlimited top shelf drinks. The place was horribly understaffed, resulting in very limited food and alcoholic beverages. We were very patient, waiting almost 3 hours for food, but finally had to give up to salvage some of the evening. The owner admitted that NYE was a disaster and offered to allow us to come back and have dinner on the house. We accepted the invitation and made reservations. Upon arriving at the designated time, the place was dead. The only other human present was an employee talking on her phone and spinning endlessly on a barstool. We ended up leaving rather than sacrificing yet another evening to the incompetency, false advertisement, and overall horrendous service that The Roaring 20s so ungraciously offers. Upon emailing the owner, explaining our experiences, and asking for a refund for the disastrous NYE experience, we were met with hostility, defensiveness, and an owner that had an excuse for everything. Apparently, it is the patron's fault that they don't give The Roaring 20s enough of a chance to prove themselves and are too quick to judge. Save yourself and visit The Old Spaghetti Factory right around the corner for 20s style architecture and decor, as well as much better food and service!
