After being consistently good food with great, friendly service for several years, last three experiences have been highly underwhelming. Poor quality and cold food that should have been served hot (even really warm would have sufficed). After politely giving server and manager feedback, was not impressed with resolution of comping a two beers as opposed to the largely unconsumed meals still on the table (a cold Shepard's Pie, cold fries, fishy-smelling and tasting cold cod fish and chips). I hope it improves, but after being an old steadfast favorite spot, it's likely going to be replaced with another bar/restaurant in the future.

Love the Tavern for breakfast. Good food and service. We went for dinner one time and had a horrible experience. food wasn't fabulous and our server had no idea what was going on and it took for ever to get our food. This was a while ago, things may have changed. But you probably won't see me there for dinner anytime soon.

Was there for lunch. Wait staff was excellent and inviting and the food was amazing. All homemade! Will definitely be visiting again.

I have never been disappointed in their food, except once. Do not get the Juicy Lucy. The server even warned me they are often sent back but I didn’t listen. When I got the burger all of the cheese had oozed out and there was nothing left inside the burger. I could have sent it back but I felt bad since I didn’t take her advice in the first place. BUT don’t let this discourage you, just don’t get the Juicy Lucy. I usually get the wings and they are top notch. The service is always prompt and polite. I wish there was more of a happy hour but that wouldn’t stop me from going!
