We have been stopping here on our boat for about five years. Food is good. Nice people. Dogs are welcome on the patio.  My kids like to come here as well.

The only place in Lake Co with waterfront dining on Lake Michigan and it's awesome. Food is very fresh and the fries are some of the best around. Huge menu, huge patio, spectacular views.

Absolutely love the Tropics! Food is awesome and the atmosphere is great! Being outside on the water is such a joy. Allison and Frank are so attentive and care about your experience..great place even better people!

I've been a fan of this place for years.  Right on the water with a great patio!  Frank and Allison really know how to run a fun place and it's great for family outings.  Take the time to drive to the end of 7th St. in Winthrop Harbor, IL and check it out.  Great place!

It's a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food is decent but can be a little too salty if you are getting fried food. Service is slower paced but friendly
