My husband and I visited the Veranda for the first time today. The restaurant was busy and we were told tne wait would be 30-40 mins. We put in our name at 1:30 and we’re seated at 2:05 at a nice table outside. The hostess brought water and shortly thereafter the waitress took drink order. 
Unfortunately, this was the highlight of our experience. 
First my order of a on tap beer took 20 mins to
Arrive. Food took 45 mins to arrive with no check in from the waitress . We both enjoyed our food after it finally arrived. 
After we finished it took the waitress 20 mins to bring the check and then she disappeared. I had to go in search of her to finish paying for our meal. 2 hours total to enjoy a simple lunch. 
Sadly, we will never visit again.

I live locally, have been coming to the Veranda for many years, they have GREAT food, and beautiful view. HOWEVER, ONE server is consistently poor. Her bad attitude has ruined multiple dinners for us. Her unwillingness to bring condiments, slow to return after taking our order...and a general way of making us feel like a nuisance to her is why I give 2 stars.

Love this place! The history, ambience, and the food.  The California Chicken Salad and Wild Rice Soup is fantastic!

Great selection of drinks, the burgers are fantastic but my absolute favorite is their Sunday brunch buffet!

Enjoyed breakfast here with my wife. The view was lovely. The food was great (though the leaves in the salad could have been smaller). The service wasn't impressive. There was only one waitress when we arrived and 16 guests. She said everyone else was on break. The food came quickly but our water glasses were not promptly filled and we had to wait several minutes for the check.
