I visited Dr. Cheung on two separate occasions, once for a Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and another for and Dry Needling. Both times were extremely helpful and insightful. Both reviews below: 1. I was beginning Crossfit, with that I wanted to make sure I was going in as close to 100% as possible. I heard through a few friends about FMS and they recommended Dr. Anthony Cheung, which I then scheduled an appointment. Dr. Cheung took the time to listen to my story and thoroughly explain the FMS process and its assessments. There are 7 assessments that the patient is put through to identify any limitations in your movement, these assessments are not difficult to do, however will identify any limitations with those movements, if any. During and after the screening, Dr. Cheung explained the goal of each assessment as they were being conducted and went through the results afterwards, making sure to explain the results and what they meant for me. Going through this assessment I felt better starting my Crossfit journey. 2. After a few weeks of Crossfit, my upper trapeziuses began to tighten up and gave me some nagging pain through some of my workouts. I decided to give it some rest and stretched throughout in hopes it would loosen up. The nagging pain did not go away, so I decided to schedule a dry needling session with Dr. Cheung. Again, Dr. Cheung was helpful and insightful on explaining what Dry Needling was and it’s affects. The overall procedure was not painful in my experience, you feel a little twitching in the effected muscles, but that’s about it. Post treatment Dr. Cheung recommended drinking a lot of water and using heat on the muscles to reduce soreness. Mine were pretty sore afterwards, no pain, just sore. A few days post treatment, my upper traps definitely felt looser and the pain subsided giving me more mobility in my shoulders. My overall experience with Vitruvian Physio and Dr. Cheung was great and highly recommended whether it is for preventing injuries or injury treatments; Dr. Cheung was knowledgeable and helpful with both! Really helped with the pain I was experiencing and will come back again if needed.

I have suffered from chronic lower back aches for about 3 years after waking up and getting out of bed. X-rays were negative so we finally got an MRI about 3 months ago and they found 2 slightly herniated discs. Prior to the MRI, we tried just about everything - chiropractic visits, massages, tempurpedic bed, medication. Nothing provided long lasting relief; they only gave relief when being administered and I didn't want to be popping pills forever nor did I want to start getting steroid shots into my back. So we decided to give PT a try. What's great about Anthony's sessions is that he's fully hands on for the whole session. Most places just give you exercises to do and you go on your way; not here. PLUS I am getting a procedure called "dry needling" which seems to be really helping. Anthony addresses the root cause of the problem and attempts to fix that instead of just giving relief to symptoms. With the dry needling, I felt improvements after just 2 sessions. If you have any kind of physical ailments, give Vitruvian a try.

Love the fact they have late appointments so I could make it after work. I've been suffering from pain under my foot for a few months, i was afraid it will be plantar fasciitis. Went in for my assessment and it was what I feared. Luckily Dr. Anthony Cheung was very knowledgeble and answered all my questions over plantar fasciitis. I received some treatment and was set up with steps to take to be able to resolve my issue. I will highly recommend everyone to come visit Dr. Anthony cheung
