Very cute atmosphere! I love all the details inside this cafe. We were just passing through town on our way to Maine. My caramel latte had immense flavor. My partner’s carrot mango smoothie was really good too. The bagel sandwiches were just okay. It was a different kind of cheese than Im used to and threw me off.
Delicious food and friendly waitstaff! A wide variety of healthy sandwiches, paninis, and bowls for vegetarians. They have an extensive drink menu with an excellent iced Chai. Our meals were fresh and very tasty. Atmosphere is fun and very hippie Vermont.
I looooove everything about this cafe... especially the good vibes... from those serving and preparing to those enjoying and consuming the delicious food and beverages. We had the Sunshine Burrito... OUTSTANDING... and grabbed to go 2 yummy almond croissants and the best chocolate chip cookie ever. If we lived closer, we'd be regulars... that's how good and special The Works Cafe is... ENJOY!!
I like that they let you flavor and sweeten your coffee to your taste. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus and ample seating will make me want to come here every time I pass through the Brattleboro area. Refills make the slightly costly coffee cups a better bargain.
Decent coffee shop. There's smaller shops with more personalized service in the area but this place has better options. Seating is plentiful, but there's very little personality in the decor. The bagels are delicious - the jalapeno cheddar is a fav. Tons of variety and availability for bagels. I really enjoy the customized sandwich options for the bagels but would love some banana peppers to add a little fun to the sandwiches.
We were passing by the area and were excited to try this cafe. We ordered our coffee and pastries and waited for a looong time. Around 7-8 people were taken care of after us and we were still waiting. Then we went to ask if they are preparing our order and were literally ignored for a few more minutes. Even after asking them to prepare our order they started preparing the coffee but we had to waste a few more minutes to receive the pastries which didn’t need any preparation. I’m just curious what made us different to be treated like this!
Update 12/17/2022 I went here for two drinks "tropical sunrise" and "Brain freeze" The drinks helped settle my stomach and the Tropical sunrise was very good. However the Brain freeze tasted a bit watery and not very sweet. Other than that I will keep my original 5 stars because the place is clean, food is made practically in front of you and the service is good. The breakfast sandwich was very good, and larger than I thought, got my monies worth. A great start to the day for people needing a boost.
We go here often. My son loves the BLT. It is consistently really good, fast casual food. Even when there is a line it moves quickly & we get our food faster than I expect. The ingredients are good quality and the staff is nice. Take out order are just as fast & the hours are really convenient. Vegetarian options: Plenty of appealing vegetarian & vegan friendly options- at least one in every category. Kid-friendliness: There are 2 low tables with couch type seating off to the side by windows and a chalk board for drawing. Great for small kids & the food comes with very little waiting. Parking: Park in the Harmony lot & use the back entrance if you don't get lucky on the street. Not too far from the High St. lot either as a back up option.
Rude staff. They screwed up our order then made my husband get back in the line and wait and order from scratch. Sandwich tasted decent, but there are plenty of great eateries in Brattleboro with nicer, less incompetent staff. Go elsewhere.
Loved the turkey- avocado- bacon sandwich. The Italian wedding soup was packed with meatballs. It was more like a stew. I can see why the place is so popular.Food: 5/5
