It was so good we came back twice in one day! I recommend the iced Maple Latte! Friendly service, great coffee, and a great spot to sit and chat. They even have table games to play or books to look through.
I absolutely love the small-town feel of this subterranean café. Drinks are reasonably priced, treats taste homemade and not from a box, and the staff is pleasant. Good value for a state that has lots of rich hippies.
Best coffee shop in Ludlow. The barista working there was so nice. And they have real bubble tea! I got a maple latte and my girlfriend got a taro vanilla bubble tea. Both tasted amazing.
Very nice and cool place, we had cappuccino and flat white they both were delicious
Very small and never opened at time advertised. Very judgmental working crew. Not very friendly. Bathroom was the dirtiest ever seen and was located as such in this small space that overflowed into this tiny sitting area. Down in basement cafe. Coffee was decent when opened on time. Also this store has a dog friendly option but I took note that the employees like patting and talking with the dogs but didn’t wash their hands after. My lip blew up from allergies. If you have Asthma or Allergies you need to not go in because the cafe is in the ground cellar and all that animals hair saliva will be everywhere. Employees pat dog and any hair or the dried saliva goes on your cup food etc. SO A WARNING NOTE FOR ALLERGY SENSITIVE!!!!!!!
To find mocha Joe's, look for Yalla, it's next door, in a subterranean space. Easy to miss. But it's a great little coffee shop with delicious coffee. Super cozy, even on cold winter days. The maple latte is my go-to!
Place has aroma of coffee . Loved the macchiato.
Best coffee anywhere outside of Italy maybe. Whatever kind of coffee you like, this is the place. My husband and I have been coming here for many years, we were so happy when they could re-open after the plandemic. Parking is best in lot on Elliot street or sometimes you might find a spot up the street a bit, it's worth it. You can have it there,or to go, but go!
Mocha Joe's BY FAR was my FAVORITE cafe in Brattleboro. After I moved down to the Amherst/Northampton area to attend college, I would STILL make the weekly 96-minute drive from Hampshire's campus to my parent's house in South Newfane and stop in Bratt to get my coffee beans from Mocha Joe's. Even though the Amherst/Northampton area had good coffee roasting/cafe culture too, I remained VERY LOYAL to Mocha Joe's.
Feels like you're in an unfinished basement hole. Tiny and squished. So small that you're very aware of the restroom's presence, and it doesn't feel totally sanitary even if your logic says it probably is. Not cozy. Also, so small that you're shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Not a place to have a conversation at all. Just grab your coffee and get out before the claustriphobia kicks in! On top of that, the coffee was just gross. Maybe it was good for other people's tastes, but to me, it tasted so gross! The barister was chit-chatting on the phone for several minutes, ignoring a growing row of waiting customers. She was friendly after that, but it wasn't exactly a redeeming quality. I mean, I certainly can't make phone calls when I'm at work!
