The Sappington House Foundation is responsible for restoring and preserving this precious treasure, the Thomas Sappington House. Restoration began in 1963 and the home opened for public tours in 1966. The Foundation and the city of Crestwood maintain this National Historic Landmark site. Foundation volunteers offer guided tours of the Museum, assist in the library and staff the gift shop. Call 314-822-8171 to inquire about volunteer opportunities. A speaker service is available.
The complex is open to guests February thru December. Visitors are encouraged to call and confirm hours of operations. Advance reservations for groups or special interest tours are required.
