I rented a towable boom lift. When I got to my job site the crank to put on and off the hitch was broke, after I was able to get it off there was no key for it. I called and the brought the key out to my job site. Once they showed up with the key the guy didn't know how to operate the lift and I couldn't get it to move either. I brought this lift back to the store and requested a refund since I couldn't use this lift. They never took the charge off my credit card and issued me a store credit instead. I had no use for store credit and told them I wanted my money refunded back to my credit card. After several calls and going back and forth with the manager they refused. I told them I would dispute the charge with my credit card company and they told me to do what I had to do. So I called and told my credit card what had happened and the refunded the money to me. Now 2 months later I get an invoice in the mail from Thompson's rental with a typed message calling me a jerk!!!! They have zero customer service skills and I will never rent from them again.
