Thrivent allowed an ex spouse without minor children, or support due of any kind, to carry a LARGE life insurance policy on my husband.  

Still trying to figure out how after being divorced 13 years you can take out a VERY LARGE ($200K) on someone else whom there is absolutely no connection.   It expires April 2018 and is RENEWABLE without consent!!!!

Buying a disability policy is the easy part, but don't hope to very have it pay you when you need it most. The claims department is impossible to work with and without talking to any doctor’s, decline your claims. Even after the policies definition states it is a total disability. I should know I sold them to myself over 36 years.
I was one of their top agent for those years and to be treated the way I have been treated it falls far from a christen Company and if I was still a working agent I would never sell one again.
I have been fighting on this since 2003 and it has destroyed my life.
