At the beginning of March 2017 I submitted the necessary paperwork to the University Place Ticor office for a reconveyance. I was told that it would take two weeks to process. After the two weeks expired I contacted the office to check on it and was transferred to Sarah, their reconveyance person, in another office. She was unpleasant to talk with and said she had no idea what I was calling about as she had received nothing. She discovered that the UP office had never sent her the paperwork for processing but it would be overnighted to her and she would let me know when it was done. She didn't let me know. I called back the UP office several days later who said they would check on it; I never got a return call. I left a voicemail for Sarah and never got a return call. Finally after several more days I called again; Sarah finally called back and said it was processed two days ago and was once again rude and unpleasant. I told everyone I talked with that a closing was pending which is why I needed this timely processed and to be notified. They didn't seem to care whatsoever. I will not be referring any of my clients or friends to Ticor.

This has to be the worst place to close a transaction.
I have been a very active real estate investor and lender for the last 20 years. I recently had a loan transaction whereby I was the lender, all of my signed documents were delivered on a Monday 10/27/14, with closing funds in their office on Wednesday 10/29/14, closing scheduled for 10/31/14. The borrower was not contacted until Thursday afternoon 10/30 to schedule a signing. The delay was so long that the transaction was unable to close on Friday 10/31/14, I now have a substantial loss of interest income caused by TICOR's lack of urgency to get this simple task done on time. Furthermore the attitude of the LPO, Heather Davidson suggests that she has no comprehension as to why this was even important.
I would never return here even if the service was free. I am still waiting for a response as to my financial losses for this incompetence. There are plenty of other title offices that take these matters seriously, I will never return and encourage others to consider other options.
