TidaL Electric is apparently the only company Progress Energy/Duke Power wiring plan contracts with...Day 1 I call Progress to place the order. Day 2 @4:50PM "Ron" leaves a message to schedule apt. I call immediately back-phone message says "all lines are busy"..I auto call until 5:00PM where they are now closed. Day 3 I leave a message for Ron at 930 AM & 1:00PM. Day 4 I leave a message 10AM for Ron Day 5 I call & get Ron on phone and schedule appt. They were out to replace 2 outlets and provide a quote for outside work that they never sent me the last time they were out 4+ months earlier. "Ben" dressed in a Tidal uniform does a fine job replacing the outlets. In the meantime "Robert" dressed in street clothes actually wants to argue in my house that they did send me a quote. I asked him to have the office email it to me, he said he would "try" to get up with "Ron" to send it. I explain to Robert that I had spoken to and left 8 messages with Ron over the last 4+ months -nothing! Robert stays in the company truck the entire time other than to bring a statement to sign with nothing written on it - says the office will fill in later...20 minutes goes by I mention to "Robert" that I hadn't received anything yet - his reply "there's nothing else I can do". I end up calling Tidal directly and have someone track down Ron who finally emails me the estimate while I held on the phone. It seems to be a crap shoot on what kind of person comes to do the work on your home.

Robert does a great job. On time, professional, and knows his craft. Would recommend.

I do NOT recommend this electrical company at ALL!! First off, the boss guy came out on Monday to see what was needed to install our pool's new salt generator and said he would write up a quote and e-mail us later that day and then come out on Wednesday if we were interested... Well, we didn't get the quote until Wednesday and then he couldn't come out until Friday at 2pm... Turns out it wasn't even the boss guy who was going to do the work, it was some other guy who shows up 3 hours later than scheduled. (Which I understand other jobs run over, but we received no phone call of him being late or anything, and it completely ruined other apts and things we had planned).... Anyways, the late guy asked where we wanted the electrical salt system installed and we said on the exterior wall near the pool pump and he wanted to check and make sure he had enough wire and supplies to run it 5 feet from the pump to the house and after checking all his stuff, he said he did..... After drilling the system onto our house he says "Ummmmmm, we have a big problem"... (And what customer wants to hear that??!!) He said that the boss guy wrote a quote to have the system installed 3 feet closer to the pool pump hanging on our deck railing (dumbest location ever to install an electrical box and the exact installation location was never decided with the boss guy to begin with) and that he didn't have enough wire to install it on the wall and it would cost us more and he probably couldn't even do it today... My thought was "didn't you check if you had enough wire BEFORE you drilled into the side of our house!!!!" .... Long story short, the guy really didn't seem to know what was going on or what he was doing, the boss guy had to go buy more wire for him and come out himself and show the late guy how to install everything and we had to pay $50 more than expected (total was a $227 fee to hook up a salt generator, ridiculous!!) and what we were told would take AT MOST 1.5 hours took about 5+ hours of our time standing around waiting on this guy to arrive and figure out what to do..... The boss guys seems to know his stuff so I don't understand why he sent out this one guy who doesn't seem to know WTF he's doing!!

These guys cover Triad area now, needed emergency service, call after lunch and they were here within an hour and resolved issue quickly and very reasonable price. So many times places under deliver these guys went above and beyond, I will always call these guys with my electrical needs!
