I like the doc but the people at his office are very rude and not on their game at all. When I first went in for a consult I saw the practioner before him and this was months ago, the woman told me that these surgeries rarely work. They all seem over that job and don't even try to hide it.

After all the research I did on Dr. Tiesenga, I was excited for my first consult with him but instead was seen by his Nurse Practitioner.  Otherwise the Staff was great, made me feel at ease and very friendly and helpful, great place.

Laparoscopic Hernia Repair surgery was successful. People who need one hernia repair are likely to need the other side repaired and Dr. Tiesinga did both. While the doctor is often overbooked, he is excellent and calming.

Horrific experience. My surgery approval was not submitted as i was informed it would take 30 days for my insurance to approve or deny surgery. Called and complain then Kelly was fired based on multiple times balls were dropped at office. Surgery was not approved then was told to come back in 2 weeks. Day of appt received a call asking me why I was coming in. Naturally I read the chick the riot act then received an apology call. I called the insurance to see why my surgery was denied and discovered that my entire history was not submitted for medical neccessity. Sad that doctor is a great guy but his office is too big to run efficiently. He should invest in his staff and not marketing bc his office is subpar at best. Would not suggest this doctor at this time.
