Warning: I like funky old hotels/motels so I enjoyed this place, but if you don't care for that type of experience, steer clear. This one's a resort of the old Nevada style, kept up but likely never to be renovated. The room was clean and comfortable; didn't do much in the casino (lived in Vegas too long to find such things much of a thrill anymore). Close to some nice coffee and breakfast joints, with their own restaurants as well. Very shy but friendly desk staff and a general friendliness throughout, which is more important to me than being brand new or of modern styling. It's also in the center of the state (more or less) and there's a rich history there, as well as the rugged beauty of the Mojave desert. I'd recommend going in any season except summer - the heat here can be literally dangerous.

I wanted to love this place..Stopped for a night on a road trip. Great hotel room for the price. The casino was a total let down. The slot attendants double as bartenders so getting a beer was difficult. And they were grouchy to boot. Better, friendlier employees would really make this place stand out.

When we were living in Reno we used to take a drive down to Vegas a couple of times a year and one the trip down we would stay here overnight. Always found the rooms to be clean, the front desk personnel very friendly and the restaurant had a decent selection of food. What a lot of visitors do not realize is just how hard it is to get food into that town! Most comes out of Sacramento to Reno where the trailer is switched out and then driven into Tonopah. There is no such thing as having multiple distributors that one can just drive over to in town to get supplies.

Got to throw some weights around and that's always good. My sister Randy was intimidated by all of the carpet in the casino area. Best of all was that I was allowed to eat a great amount of raw meat in the lavatory here. Couldn't have hoped for a better trip. Thanks a lot guys!

Good place to visit. Just odd casino rules, you have to call attendant to get your money. Bar at casino interesting to visit
