Story

Welcome to Town & Country. We are a unique, 20,000 square foot boutique furniture store unlike any other you will find in the Eastern United States. We have an extensive, eclectic mix of fabric and leather upholstery, bedrooms, dining rooms and accent pieces that make us remarkable. We are proud to be Vermont’s largest gallery of area and oriental handmade imported rugs which continues to be the largest selection in Northern New England.

We went in looking for a very specific item. The staff was very helpful and we ended up going through several volumes of catalogs to try and find a matching item. Although we are unsuccessful the staff were great and all of the furniture that I laid eyes on him while in the store was absolutely gorgeous.

My boyfriend and II was on the hunt for a sofa/love seat combo for our new condo and decided to check out Town and Country. Upon entering , there was a woman sitting at a desk who said hello but not much more. We were browsing a few sofas, (standing and looking, feeling the material) and the woman asked my boyfriend to take his keys off his belt loop "you need to watch your keys, sir". She didn't offer us much help in the way of picking out any furniture, just more of a reprimand for having the possibility of scratching the furniture. It's also funny, because all of their fake food laying around is "spilled" food or stuff that has been knocked over - I guess to indicate the durability of the furniture. Just make sure not to stand anywhere near anything if you have a set of keys in your pocket. Won't be returning.

I have never received or witnessed such atrocious customer service from an owner EVER!  The man was combative, insulting and called the PAYING customer's concerns "insignificant" and continuously berated her.  I, personally, would have told him to come pick the couch up and return my $2k.  Even when he saw what the issue was and acknowledged it he still didn't apologize to the customer nor give a plan to fix it.  I wouldn't shop there.  Gross fake food all over the place too.
