Recently purchased a 2024 TRD Sport Toyota Tacoma. Sales person Donald was very professional and likeable person. He was very helpful and provided us with the attention. Sales Manager Chris I believe made the difference in listening to our needs to make the deal that would work to allow us to be able to purchase this truck. He took something I thought would be difficult and made it easy with no stress. The Finance office was quick and easy. Overall our experience at this dealership was the best we have ever had.
June 2024, terrible experience at Greg Leblanc with the service dept.My partner and I are loyal Toyota owners. I have a 2017 Tacoma, I love it. I had brought it in 2 years ago for the third brake light recall- and the service dept at Greg Leblanc Toyota said they handled everything, or so I thought! Now, two years later. My light is leaking again. I now have water stains on the headliner, same pattern as before, all pointing towards the same issue as stated in the 2022 recall post. I brought it back to Greg Leblanc Toyota, and had a terrible experience. First, they told me it’s no longer covered under the campaign since it’s been “fixed” already; which is fine, it’s that’s how it works- but then they continued to keep my truck for two days to look at it. I got a call on the second day saying they cannot find any leak and that they don’t know how or what to fix. So they are doing nothing! Nothing was fixed- when obviously there is a leak! They let me come pick up my truck; with no fixes what so ever. Didn’t even clean the stains off the roof when I asked which they did it two years ago the first time, so I know they can and they left my truck with stuff all over the back seat and did not put my headliner clips back in. I am very displeased with the treatment of my vehicle. The secretary/lady who worked in the office and called me was nice; but I feel the technician was less than. My truck had to be kept for multiple days; because the didn’t have a technician one of the days. I also brought my truck in two weeks before for the same issue ; and it could not be looked at because again, no technician. I have had my truck for 7 years, the service at this location has gone down terribly in those years. Go elsewhere for your service needs, you’ll save yourself a headache.
As per the ball joint recall on the Toyota tundra, I made an appointment at Greg Leblanc Toyota spoke to Stacey weed to order the parts . Stacey said when the parts are in she will call to schedule the appointment for replacement. In the meantime I found new tires at Delta World Tire, I mentioned the ball joint recall and delta said just let them know when. Stacey from Greg Leblanc and I scheduled the appointment, Day of appointment I am at Greg Leblanc Toyota service department, checked in, gave my keys to service manager . After lunch received a call that I could pick up my truck. The service manager informed me that the service could not be completed in it's entirety because my tires are too worn, I mentioned I have an appointment just after this one to have a new set of tires installed that I could come back after that. She proceeded to give me another appointment over a month later from this day just to complete this service which was a full alignment. I turned it down . The service manager has something for me to sign and as I am looking at this form she begins saying she can schedule me an appointment to have my rack and pinion replaced , she was speaking rather quickly as Im trying to sign this form and process all this stuff she's spewing about power steering leaking everywhere, rack and pinion is going to fail and cause me to crash, I'm in a whirlwind with all of this as she continues confusing me, I ask and how much is this? She says few thousand , now I'm stressed, confused, my anxiety reached new level. I turned that down as well because I need a second opinion on this diagnosis that came out of nowhere. I asked for everything she just told me in writing since it's too much information for me to remember, I did not want miss something she said. I had to sign for and pay for a sheet of paper with her and her technicians diagnosis in writing. As I'm walking out the door, the service manager says in an uneasy and concerning tone to me , " Be careful driving, when the rack and pinion breaks you will lose total control of your vehicle and will cause you to crash". I admit I was a bit shaken up and fearful because I did not want to cause harm to any other driver, hearing repeatedly her saying be careful over and over. Just minutes after driving and thoughts racing through my mind, took a deep breath to calm myself, something I should have caught on to as the service manager was rambling on with her nonsense, which I then realized was utter nonsense. When she said rack and pinion was about to fail, that it was leaking power steering fluid everywhere. What!?! What is she talking about? She has no idea what she is talking about! First of all , I still cannot believe I didn't catch this at that moment, I have never once ever added any power steering fluid at all ever to my truck, then I thought about what I knew from other people in the past regarding rack and pinion, is that it takes great impact to break that, rack and pinions don't just break. I'm calmed down now from the service managers infliction of anguish and fear, now I'm furious. She was ready to rip me off a few thousand bucks with her and her technicians unprofessional, unacceptable diagnosis. Service technician and service manager saw built up gunk from no telling how long ago and immediately assumed it was power steering fluid that is leaking in which they concluded to a misdiagnosis of rack and pinion needs to be replaced. I am not a mechanic, but I do know that you cannot determine what is leaking if there is build up where supposedly there is a leak thus a diagnosis based upon such is clearly inaccurate and furthermore FALSE. To accurately determine that there is in fact a leak coming from somewhere, the area must be cleaned well , then proceed with actions to actually see the leak in progress to make that determination concluding with a diagnosis. The area in question was not cleaned, gunk to still present. Completely unprofessional, unacceptable, inaccurate determination, informing me of totally false information.
This is a dealership that hires employees that have no interest in helping customers. I have an extended warranty from Toyota, and brought my car to a Toyota dealership to use the warranty from Toyota, and immediately the service provider says they can’t help, before even looking at the warranty or trying to call, instead of trying to help at all they just said “no”. I immediately left to find someone else because I can see the amount of useless this person is going to be, and even the manager that I found said it sounded like they were being lazy but they couldn’t help me. I have still not heard back from a manager and doubt I will, so this is a fair warning to everyone, either don’t purchase these extended warranties because they don’t honor them or boycott Toyota for trying to be crooked in this matter and not accepting a warranty that they have every obligation to honor, so long as the repair and condition are defined within the contract as being covered. THERE IS A REASON GREG LEBLANC TOYOTA IS NOT BBB BETER BUSINESS BUREAU accredited, they are NOT honest people and I would strongly advise against wasting your time at their location, or even worse being taken advantage of
A family member recently purchased a barely used car from this place. Under 10k miles. While backing up the car we noticed a rubbing sound. The front part of the car bumper has damage and I found a tywrap holding it together. Dealership says not their problem. Never again. UPDATE 3/15/2024 Had another dealership Morgan City Toyota order a new plastic skid plate. They changed it to only reveal the actual bumper is broken in several places. That cost about $500. Now we are bringing the car to a paint and body shop to get it fixed. Can't type the words here that I would like to describe what i really want to say about Greg Leblanc dealership. I'll update once we know the price from the paint and body shop. If you purchase a car from here, make sure you have them put in on a lift and do a walk under it. FINAL UPDATE 3/24/2024 An honest body shop was able to secure the bumper properly even though it was indeed broken in a couple spots for about 50 bucks. The Toyota dealership in Morgan City charged 500 to install a skid plate. After they installed it, I noticed several bolts holding it were loose or not even put back on and they even put a tywrap back to secure it and didn't even bother to tell the family member that the bumper was damaged. Seems the Morgan City Dealership has service work issues. Crap all the way around. 5/26/2024 The Jerry Rig $50 from the paint and body shop didn't hold up. Final price for a new front bumper as well as to repaint the new one will be $1100.
If you are unfamiliar with the general quality of cars, Toyotas have a great reputation among people who know what they are talking about. A new car is a big expense. To not buy a long lasting reliable brand can set your life back.
Second bad experience, why did I come back? Warranty money not my money, but they denied the warranty that was sold to me by Toyota, not because it wasn’t covered but because the service advisor was too lazy to call and get it approved so they’d rather lie and say they don’t accept warranties unless they were sold at their dealership. Stuck up chick in the front service desk was so happy to tell me how she couldn’t help me I never really trust dealerships, but after calling and speaking to the parts advisor I feel terrible for anyone that is unable to perform repairs on their own and at the mercy of the dealerships. I am not big headed, but I am factually smarter not that I am even smart as a diyer than the staff at any Toyota dealership, every-time I need anything these people are just completely unable to help me, they should not bare the name Toyota if they can not tell me everything about the vehicles that they produce. I am looking at the parts description for a vacuum sensor which states, “ a crucial component in Toyota's Electrical Electronic Fuel Injection System and Electrical Switch & Relay & Computer system, plays a primary role in monitoring engine performance. It functions by measuring the manifold pressure, informing the car's computer of the engine load, and adjusting the fuel mixture for optimal performance.” And the parts advisor is telling me this part doesn’t control fuel delivery… and then I offered to give him a follow up whether or not my issue was fixed and he declined… you can’t help someone that doesn’t want help, and if a parts advisor doesn’t want to learn about parts then I can imagine the help he will be to others… this is why cars get junked, dealerships can’t properly diagnose or even understand the basic components of the vehicles that they are servicing, so much ignorance where there should be absolute expertise on the subject, I really am not too surprised but wow, I had higher hopes for these stealer ships
Drove 100 miles to this location since the Toyota dealerships near me were price the camrys 5000 over msrp. Well i was met with friends staff and has the salesman Chris LeBlanc. He was friendly, super helpful, and didn't try to push me on different things. I would 100% go there again and suggest any others to go there if looking for a toyota vehicle.
In late October my faithful '02 Land Cruiser, now crossing 350,000 miles, started to run a little rough. At first I thought it was bad gas after the hurricane but after the third tank of high octane I was forced to accept that it was more. I took it in to a local shop, swapped the plugs and had the air intake cleaned out. They pointed out it needed new valve seals but they couldn't do that work. It ran well again for about 200 miles then started running rough again. At that time I was in southern Mississippi and remembered reading about a Toyota dealership in Louisiana that had serviced a few high milage vehicles and decided to try them on this one. I called ahead and they said no problems and we entered my information into the computer. When I arrived, they had no idea why I was there and we re-entered my information in the computer. I asked them to replace the valve seals, diagnose the rough run, flush the fluids, and advise me of any other items they found . They managed to swap the seals. They managed to flush the transmission. They swapped the two week old spark plugs even though I had explained that this had just been done and somehow still failed to replace the coils. I headed out on my merry way confident that all issues had now been put to bed..... That was not the case, by the time I reached New Orleans I knew that not only did I have the same rough running engine, now the transmission was also not working properly. By the time I reached Charleston, SC I knew I had serious issues. I took it in to the Toyota dealership there and they pointed out that Leblanc had overfilled the transmission by at least three quarts and had broken the EVAP valve off the airbox and then simply replaced the cover hoping nobody would notice. Just typing this last one makes me furious and sick to my stomach. They then informed me they could undo LeBlanc's work for a mere $1234.66. Having had quite enough of Toyota dealerships at this point I crossed the street and drained THREE extra quarts of fluid out of my transmission. I epoxied the valve back in place as best I could. and I swapped the #6 ignition coil which was the source of my rough running engine. I cannot easily express how disgusted and angry that I am with this entire debacle. I tried to follow up with Toyota corporate who assured me they cared deeply about this situation and then referred me back to LeBlanc's who "will call you by the end of the week". this did not happen, so I called them and got 'disconnected in the transfer' This one dealership has managed to undo 350,000 miles of happiness. -an angry, dissatisfied, and disgusted customer.
