Trattoria Il Cafone is a charming family Italian restaurant. At Il Cafone you are welcome to bring your own wine which you can easily purchase next door and delight in authentic Italian cuisine in a warm environment.
Chef and owner Roberto Oliveri has had more than sixteen years experience in some of the better Italian restaurants in the New York and New Jersey area. He has brought his experience to Trattoria Il Cafone since he opened it in 1997 and is accompanied by a loyal and friendly staff who have been with him since the beginning. This has helped to create a consistency of quality and reliability that provides you with a memorable experience.

True authentic Italian food. It should be rated as the best place to dine in the tristate area. Don't buy into other rankings of places that serve conventional frozen restaurant depot products. Just about everything is made from scratch the authentic homeatyle way with taste that can't be superseded!

First time at Trattoria il Cafone but will definitely not be my last.  This place is real deal Italian.  The chicken francese and piccata were delicious and the portions were extremely generous.   The calamari appetizer was so tender, no rubbery squid here.  I also had one of the best lattes ever here.  The owners were welcoming and friendly and I felt like I was part of a big Italian family.  If you like Italian food, you will really enjoy it here.

Visited here for a friend's graduation party. Service was absolutely excellent and the food was also delicious.

Service was quick, people polite, food and prices very good. Second time my wife and I have eaten here. It is mow our go to place for Italian cooking and drinks. Took out of town guest this trip. He thought it was excellent.

Rodizio was absolutely delicious and that's why i went back there tonight with a friend. Unfortunately they didn't have it so we ordered other things which turned out to be very good! I will surely go again
